5w30 syn planning on trying it out and see if it is actually better...

 

just go look at oil analysis results for it over on http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/ to see if it is worth the extra $$$

That's really the only way to determine if it is "better."

I'm pretty sure Mobil 1 still has a fully synthetic product. That's all I've ever used in any of my vehicles.

But I'm interested in the oil findings. Anyway you can forward them to me???

I'm gonna have to give it a try, if its good enough for your car, I'm sure it will work wonders for mine.

 

Neither is Rotella. It has a group III base.

Ray, if you can find it GC 0w-30 is the new hotness and IS a true synthetic (PAO base). Amsoil is also a true synthetic with the exception of the XL series.

None of this info helps you find Royal Purple, sorry.

 

I just prefer to piss in the filler... it aint full synthetic either but hey...

I think that the only place in the area that carries the German Castrol Syntec is Autozone. Unfortunately there aren't any near my house.....but then again I used to drive across the damn city to get Amsoil, lol.

 

Autozone just opened across the Highway from my shop... Ray I will call some of my suppliers and see if they can get it or not... Tomorrow though...

hmm, i think it was like 7 a quart or something, i would have to look again. i got mine from my buddy Anthony for about $2 a quart, lol, thank god for Supras blowing up~!

i used to get the rp at pep boys, went for about 6-7 a quart, if that helps at all.
