So a while back, I bought a rear seat out of an RS intending to make a couch out of it.

Anyone on here done that before? Did you do metal or wood for the support frame? Anyone have plans that you know are good (not just found on the internet)?

I could probably do the wood myself, but I'm terrible with plans. If I went metal, I'd definitely need some help. If you'd like to volunteer and can weld, let me know.

I have the same idea. I have 2 rear sets. I plan on making a wooden frame, seeing that I do not have a welder. I haven't made any plans or drawings. I'm just going to wing it and hope for the best. :)

I started a similar project with some 2x4s, but put it aside and haven't revisited it.

How about the 2.0L coffee table? Ever get that off the ground?

And Pat, i'd vote "wood" in the poll...if indeed you had a poll, which you don't. But if you did is all that i'm sayin'.

All of Leebata's projects are reminiscent of his childhood... neglected, mostly forgotten, and up for sale for the right price.

Yes, I still have the coffee table. A few parts require sandblasting to clean and then I need a top.

It's kind of cool to think that my first Subarus motor is going to live on in your living room.(someday)
