Saw that there is a vf39 for sale on hear for $250 Tom!!:yumyum: j/k...those are some nice numbers!! Btw...they still won't improve your golf game!lolz
OK- here's mine Stage 2 2002 WRX engine in a '96 L body. So far the weight is down to just under 2500 lbs. Pretty decent for what I expected. As always- hoping for more. Like everyone else I wasn't hitting target boost today while on the dyno, but on the way home I was exactly where I should be.
speedy...your car is my next project for the L. i'd like to check your car out sometime. nice numbers thomas
Come out to the Autocross tomorrow (Dakota County Technical College), I'll be there all day. Or sometime this week I'll stop by Grimmspeed to pick up my intake manifold spacers. :nana:
i cant make it tomorrow. i'll have more spacers in on wednesday i believe so if you want to stop into the shop that would be cool Justin www.grimmspeed.com
I'm gaining HP almost all the way to redline. I think you're looking at my torque (black line) and boost (green line) lines, lol. My little turbo won't give me anything more than this. I think I've maxed it out, lol.
How does this compare with February's numbers ? Different dyno, of course. Have you done anything power-wise recently other than adjust the throttle cable to the right place ? Stuart.
woops looks like i posted in the wrong thread, i gotta get my sheet up... anyway 164 whp 207 tq afrs in the 10s
342whp 324wtq EJ257 + WRX heads + 272 cams + GT35R on pump gas. Only revved to 6500. Still have a fuel issue. No idea what it is. Old VF34 setup 268whp 242wtq
The only difference is getting the throttle cable adjusted correctly. This is 19 more HP and 15 more Ft-lbs of torque. The big difference is that this shows the torque curve is much better than it was at 85% throttle. I also wasn't hitting target boost on this dyno, probably due to temperature and the way the dyno loads the engine. Today at the AutoX I was hitting target boost and G-Damn it is fast.
Hey now. He asked me if I wanted to change anything. Eat my ass bitches. I didn't even want to strap on. lol Ya'll wait and see. There's an easy 100 more whp, even more torquez in her.:slayer:
my power figures are...... approx.... 178whp@5600 244ft lbs@3600 I like it. Now it's scary on the tranny w/ all that torque. "wha cha gonna do wit all dat torque, all dat torque up in your car.."
Tom, your graph is ridiculous! Well done man. Zak needs to run something similar for autocross lol Here's a crappy cameraphone pic... 16.6 psi dropping to 12. 302wtq @ 3200 and 254whp @ 5500. afr @ 11:1. 06 wrx vf39 ebay intercooler headerback exhaust mbc Conservative DD/low end tune by Clark (91 octane)
06 STi that's all stock with a little Clark magic (a/f around 10.8). I still need to scan the sheet. 257whp. @5650rpm 287wtq. @ 3850rpm Twas a great day... a litle on the warm side though.
yeah, it also hit full boost several hundred rpm later. Must have been the fans directly on the ic at RS and a little map learning since the tune... then again, I put down 220whp/270wtq with only a downpipe, AP, and tmic at LSE last Fall... we'll see the trap speed difference at rockfalls.
