    Likewise.
Ron's been a really helpful guy to me and everyone i've talked to about him.
He's just always really really busy.

Are you really serious about getting work done there? Stuff like that may happen from time to time with any shop. Just think how many people come in and bug Ron and it never materializes into work or money. I would say give him another shot. He has been good to everyone I have ever talked to.

I'm sure that may have something to do with it. I was trying to shop locally for parts I need to rebuilding the CA and SR motors I have for my 240. I was pretty set-back by the response and lack of help I got from the guys there. It may have been a fluke but I've gotten the same attitude from different places around here when trying to get parts I need. I think it may be from the 'flood' that may have come around with everyone asking for parts like I am and those same people not being serious. The only difference and it still gets me, when I'm not taken seriously when I'm trying to give them business.

i wont ever be bringing my car back there, i think rons a nice guy and all but i dont trust his workers, and wow if you come back with problems, ron can turn into a real bitch real fast. and after my the problems iv had with my teg, as well as some other things if learned through friends, i cant say i could ever recommend his shop again.

ron has tuned my old sr20det on 2 different set-ups (safcII and power fc) and was very proficient with both. he also helped me out when i was in a crunch with my ka-t ecu tune.

my friend had bought a sr20 swap from RS motors and he had a bad experience. They said a normal swap would take a full weekend, then became 2 weeks, then a month etc. They also said they didn't know how to hook up the power steering lines since his 240 was a 89 vs a 90-92 or something like that. The swap was not clean at all. He eventually sold the 240 and never even got into the drift scene. Maybe they just have bad luck with 240's?

I've heard that Ron has one of his own, which is another reason I wanted to talk with him. Once I did though, he didn't appear to either have the time or want to take the time to answer my questions. So, I left it as I found it and went on my way. I'm not out to flame anyone, I'm just trying to learn what other's impressions are. Aside from the WRX I'm driving, I've got my 240 that I'm trying to bring back from the dead and I'm at a point that I need parts. When I say parts, I don't mean 'rice parts' either which is all most places seem to have. I'll admit first that I'm not too familiar with a lot of shops around here but I thought you'd at least be able to find some engine parts or something, some where. That's what I'm used to finding but it appears, this isn't the case around here. Which creates another question for me, is it like this just for 240's or is this the 'norm' for trying to find parts for imports?

This was about 1 year ago when this happed. He also said that Ron was suppose to work on it but gave to a newbie to do the swap. That might be the cause. I don't know Ron at all, I hear good things and bad things thats all.

Well, like I've said numerous times. I'm not out to flame anyone, I'd just like to learn more about this place. The back end of their shop looked decent and I've heard it mentioned before, when people talk about running their cars on dyno's in the area. I stopped over there to try and find some parts because I had been referred to them by another shop I stopped in.

that's probably the issue. even though an sr20det swap is about the easiest thing in the world.

ps on an s13 zenki to sr20det shouldn't be tricky either. ya either unbolt and modify the stock lines or you swap to a dohc ps set-up. hard to mess that up

N1ceDrgn, what 240 stuff do you need?
