Running windows 2008 Server on Virtual PC Sucks

    period..its so slow...i dedicated a gig and a half just to keep it running..its still slow...haha..but i really like 2008 compared to 2003 more features..and more security...

    has anyone else experienced 2008 server? :yumyum:

    In my opinion powershell is a playoff on Bash

    Ugh, my days of running VMWare on a IBM Stinkpad are horrible. Running 5 simultaneous windows OSs, 2 of which being Server editions then linking them. hahaha Poor thing. It had the "upgraded" 1 gig of RAM too.

    Has more to do with the box you are running it on then the OS or virtualization software. I'm running 3 Server 08 VMs right now on virtual server 05 for certification tests with very little isues. Ditch virtual pc and use virtual server with SCSI drives and run them on a dedicated hd separate from the OS. Huge improvement. Vista x64, 8gb ram and velociraptor drives help too. ;)

    Have you played with Hyper-V at all? Holy smokes do emulated drivers suck compared to synthetic. :)
