Hey everyone - how ya been? Just wondering if anyone else has seen this before and how it was fixed on the passengers side. I have an 04 Forester and in the rear, welded inside the frame are a couple nuts- two on each side. These nuts allow for the sway bar mounting bracket to be bolted to the frame. Long story short, both sides have rusted and the un-seen nuts have pulled through. Now there is no way to bolt the sway bar bracket to the car. This = suck. The drivers side was an easy fix. I cut a plate to size, drilled holes into it and welded nuts onto the back of the plate and then welded that to the frame. The passenger's side is another story due to the fuel neck, charcoal canister, etc. Has anyone else seen this happen and is there a way to get in there with a welder without dropping the tank and all of that crap? I had a shop look at it for me and essentially the car was built around the tank so getting it out would be hours-and-hours which equates to spendy-spendy. Thanks. -ted
