    Yesterday I went to Saab dealer in Minnetonka to check on my girl, and I sat one of the saab cars, the one it looks like a WRX hatch on the back dat azz. But hey as I sat and check the interior....you want to see it yourself you might recgonize it:I

    That is because for about a year now, Saab, pretty much PWNED by GM has been slapping their badge and front end on the WRX wagon and giving it a leather interior...because 20% of Subaru is staked to GM. This has been going on for a while now...people call it the Saabaru.

    yup, i drive them everyday, a 5 speed aero 9-2x is slower then a wrx wagon, by about a car length, must be the weight, of the bloated price tag! we've sold about 3 of them lmao

    there was an article in the star trib about the "Saabarus" actual headline.

    what i got out of it is:
    Saab sales down
    Saab no AWD
    Subaru = Awsome
    GM owns 10% both (something like that)
    WRX Wagon ---> Saab 92x
    Saab 92x has more options and interior options

    one thing i didnt get is whether or not the 92x has a boxer engine.

    The Saabaru 92X is a better car in the corners. It was tuned by a Reputable automotive division in Europe (I forgot who though). Lotus, maybe?

    Saabaru is practically a Subie with luxury and a few tweaks here and there. Nothing special... and yes Saab does use the same engine found in the regular Impreza and WRX for the two model line they are offering.

    Tommy, is this thread suppose to say it's your first time you've heard of this car? We've posted a thread or two, months ago.

    everything on the 9-2 can go on the wrx, the engine,tranny,chassis, even the interior other then leather is the same exact shape and style, it just has a different nose..hell it has the same doors, but you can get it without roof racks

    I dunno, ironically enough, I have a fleet discount on all GM vehicles, including SAAB but excluding medium, heavy duty, and HUMMER brand trucks.

    If SAAB made a 95x which was just a nicer Subaru Legacy GT.... I might have to bite. :eek:
