STi's could not break over 13.6sec and the fastest Subie I saw ran 13.4 and that was a WRX 06. Evolutions are so ahead of us damn. But I do like that Forester that was over there. Whoever it was thats one fast Forester!

And most Evo's were running 14s too! Mannnn...

this is a quote from MNsportcompacts.

Id say at least all of the subi owners were consistant and most were in the 13's. Unlike the neons, and evo's. And other people also acknoweldged it too. Granted there were like 2 really fast evo's but that was like 2 out of how many??? It was not a sad day at all, it showed other people what subaru's are capiable of. I think I saw your sti when I was leaving the pits. Did you run your sti?

Before I bought my STi I read a little bit in mags like consumer reports, Car and Driver and they said STi was capable of mid to high 12's, obviously those reports were not real world.

I think I heard a few that did high 12's on stock STi, no mods or ECU upgrade.

same story every year. sti's have a crappy shift point at the end of the quarter..i believe they fixed this in 07s

also, most of those drivers are a bunch of girls that dont want to beat on their cars...and dont know how to launch. i'd like to jump into and 07 with launch control and see where i land.

Don't forget that the rock is known to run atleast .5 slower times than alot of other tracks. I know that alot of the big time drag guys that I worked with would drive down to IA before heading over to rock falls for test and tune days.

its possible, you just have to launch really hard and power shift. elevation and track conditions can make a bit of difference too.
hmm maybe one of the dealership guys can arrange to have a dealership car out at the next event... Ray? can I "test drive" an 07 sti in june?

Yeah I don't understand how a track can be different. I guess if sea level played a part.
