    Man.

Steve Irwin... aka the Croc Hunter was killed yesterday....

by a stingray... man... you start to think people are invincible and enivitability hits home eventually...

probably doesnt mean much to most, but this guy is an icon... love him or hate him, he did a lot for my home Country.. ( And I couldnt stand him for years, till my wife told me how he gave back almost 100% of the money he would make to his causes)...

saddest thing now is being a Dad myself (3 times over) my heart goes out to his wife and 2 young kids...

RIP STEVE 'CROCIDILE HUNTER' IRWIN.... 2006

I think, he's has been touch by an angel all these years. as i see him in national tv how close he gets with the most dangerous animals. but for me I wouldn't surprise at all...but once again, for his children and his wife, that's I most I worried off.
RIP for Steve "croc hunter" irwin holly crokey

My favorite commercial of the Cro hunter is the FedEX, he gets bit by a King Cobra, falls over and the anti venom arrives just in time. LOL

Thanks to Steve my son wants to be a Cro Hunter too. RIP Crocky!

my niece who lives in the phillippines just went to go see his live show at the zoo when she was in australia 2 months ago, even got his autograph. Kind of hard for her parents to tell her that her hero (she really likes his shows a lot, and some of the only english TV they really even get in the phillipines) is now dead from a freakish accident.

Oh well, kids gotta deal with death at some point, but still sucky for them.

Yeah I love that commercial. He was a great guy. Over the top, even for an aussie, but it for sure gets you well known.

I loved his shows and we had to show my kids the news on it too. About the first thing I told my wife was, "OMG you know that they recorded the whole thing too. wonder how long it is leeked out."

I think this will be a lesson for some of the other shows. They are all competing for craziest. I watched one where a guy spent weeks with a pack of lions and worked to get closer and closer, practicly sat with them by the end, until one day they got pissed and charged him. he got them to back away but you could tell he thought he was food.

another of my favorite shows is buggin with ruud on discovery HD. he went into a nasty jungle and got sick, and gets bit all the time. I dunno if any of you have seen a giant centapede, but I now think they are the craziest animals on the planet man. anyway he got stung by one and lost complete mobility in his arm for a while. those things are STRONG too!

another guy is a snake guy, and let a spitting cobra just spray him for the longest time while he talked about how dangerous it was and would cause perm blindness on but he had sunglasses on like the terminator and thought he was fine, till it dripped down from his forhead and he went running like a madman to his truck to flush his eye out. course it was all on tape, and he was ok. (and of course i was glued to the tv).

That guy was one of the craziest guys on TV. I always wanted him to get bit on TV just once but when it actually happened, I regret it.

I was sad to hear of this news myself as well. I met Steve 3 years ago in Vegas. I had backstage pass through a Dr. who my wife works with in Edina, MN. Meet Steve was like heaven to me... I've always admired his work and his attitude. He's a funny, very down to earth kind of guy... the way he talk is like a machine gun rattling words after words.

While out yesterday, I got a page from my brother telling me about the death of Steve Irwin... I was heart broken and shock at the same time. A great guy all around. Best of wishes to his family for a fast recovery.

Steve... you're one of God's greatest gift to his many creation.

Steve was a great person. He was grea to watch and very influential on many people. his zany and flat out dangerous antics made him a blast to watch and at the same time were very educational. The first time i saw him on TV i asked "is this guy for real?" cause of how crazy he was.

I cant believe he is gone. it really saddens me to see someone who loves what they do so much to be killed while doing it. my prayers go out to him , and his family. the world wont be the same without him.

i guess the ray rose up and thrashed on him. he wasn't even messing with it.

if you have ever swam w/rays you know that they are super docile.
i've seen exactly one ray spur up the barb but it was being attacked by a spearfisher.

    freakish accident IMO.

    Just sucks for his kids.

I don't think I could watch the video. I've seen some sick stuff, but the video of his death. I couldn't do it.
