St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman calls for a 8.5% property tax hike in his first budget, attempting to plug a $16.5 million gap.

Who voted for a tax hike?!?!

What's everyone's opinion? Does this mean the taxes we pay for stuff in Ramsey County will have a 15% sales tax slapped on it? I also read somewhere that Saint Paul's property taxes was increased just a week ago.

The place we just bought is $1700. Not too bad from what I have seen from the other houses in different area's that we looked at.

O.K. I will no longer complain about a 10% hike 2 years on a row. I now realize I'm spoiled!
