    The Date will be Sept 29, which is a Saturday.​

    Will will be eating at http://bigbutzbbqsauce.net/


    There will be an option to camp after.

    It will cost you to eat & camp but the drive will be like an autoX coarse... just with a pace car:frantic:

    More info to follow in the next few weeks.

    Every weekend is bad for some reason, bar none. I know this is close to Oktoberfest. The owner of BBB is an old personal friend of mine. He tends to compete in Oktoberfest events around this time so we were lucky to pin him down. We could have tried a week earlier but we wanted to get a little later for the colors.

    Fair enough, for those purposes the food costs are looking to be between $10-$15 for chicken/pork sliders or ribs respectively. I highly recommend we do the $15 for ribs. The man doesn't f around. We'll need to commit to all one or the other.

    Nobody said you actually have to use his bbq sauce. It's just award winning sauce is all.

    We could always pull everyone ever and stop by McDonalds on the way. I do likes me some soft serve.

    Two hours of driving winding roads... stuffing my face with BBQ... sitting next to a fire pit sipping whiskey... passing out in a tent under the stars. Oh, I'm in for sure.

    The primary event is the cruise to Siren. It was originally going to be a drive and dine :D... but then we decided it would be better to push it to fall and use it as our fall colors cruise given the length of the cruise and location of the endpoint.

    We are working on options for camping arrangements and batting around the idea of a second organized cruise for Sunday. Whatever we do for overnight stuff will be close to the bbq joint. If nothing else I'll be holding an impromptu "cruise" which is just going to be me taking the roads I want to take back to the cities and whoever wants to come with is welcome to so long as they behave.

    DAGNABBIT!.. So, when I read BBQ all rational thought went right out the window... My lady's B-Day is that Sunday the (30th). There is gonna be way too much testosterone for her to go along and enjoy herself... unless some miraculous intervention happens before then I may not be taking part. :(

    I will be requiring prepaid tickets a month or so in advance. More details on that point later. After I pass on the headcount we'll be pretty much committed. Tom (BBBS owner) doesn't mind what the number ends up being, but they can't change much if any once locked in and accounted for on his end.

    I am tentatively in for this! Just need to see what is going on with work a couple of weeks prior before really commiting 100%. 5th, E will be just fine going with...just tell her that you guys are going on a camping trip for her b-day. When you meet up with the rest of the Subaru clan, it'll just be a great moment for the phrase, "SUPRISE"! lol

    Schwaqqle (how many people on the forum are aware of that nickname?)- Have you ever actually met E? :bounce:LOL's. I think a better approach is to try to work it out ahead of time... Maybe, cruise up with the caravan, pig-out on some bbq, hang for a few, and then go off and camp just the two of us Sat and Sun. -That would more likely be my "angle". ;)
