Car not ready for proving grounds But someone ahem...Curran...might let me co drive. When does registration close?
Incorrect sir, it would actually have been 24 hours and 11 minutes at the time your post. Math fail! haha
Not competing, but will be coming up to at least spectate some. If tech and registration open at 8, and driver's meeting is at 9:30, can I presume that the course is open for walking between 8 and 9:30?
Yes, you can walk the course, even if you're not driving. Be sure to bring a helmet to ride along. Won't be hard to find someone that's willing to let you. We've got loaner helmets, too.
It was pretty dusty in the morning but after a couple of rounds with the water truck and some drizzling it got nice and tacky!
We left after one full heat after lunch, by that time the dust was minimal, and it looked reasonably tacky.
Turned out great! Everyone that stayed until the end got 12 runs total. In hindsight, we'll water the course right away and have someone not competing do a couple runs to remove the super slickness. Mother nature played nice this time and held out on the downpour until we were packing up. Results have been posted on Facebook, and we'll have them here shortly.
