SCOOBIES FOR BOOBIES 2011 !! CHECK IT OUT!!

Hello fellow MN SUBARU enthusiasts!

The time has come again for Scoobies for Boobies! This year donations will be collected for the Keep A Breast Foundation.

KAB Mission:

The Keep A Breast Foundation™ is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. Our mission is to help eradicate breast cancer by exposing young people to methods of prevention, early detection and support. Through art events, educational programs and fundraising efforts, we seek to increase breast cancer awareness among young people so they are better equipped to make choices and develop habits that will benefit their long-term health and well-being.

How to Contribute​

There are two different ways to contribute to Keep A Breast Foundation​

• Donate directly to the MN Subaru Team via the StayClassy webpage: (Donating directly goes towards the logo on the T-shirt.) http://www.stayclassy.org/fundraise?fcid=137980

• Purchasing merchandise through Subie Merch via the www.scoobiesforboobies.org website also gives proceeds to the Keep a Breast Foundation. Click on link and go to Support, then Fundraisers. This will bring you to Subie Merch for SFB. (Purchasing merchandise will not go directly towards our goal as a Team for the logo)

How to get "MNSubaru.com" and logo on the back of the 2011 Scoobies for Boobies t-shirt
Together, if we raise at least $150 in donations (not including the purchase of any t-shirts), then we will have "MNSubaru.com" printed on the back of the 2011 Scoobies for Boobies t-shirt. If we can raise $300, then we can get our logo and website name printed on the back of the t-shirt! Please note that if we do not reach the $150 mark, we will get nothing on the t-shirt, but your money still goes to the Keep A Breast Foundation. In order for your donation to count towards our goal, you must use the link provided above. Donations must be received by October 31st! This year the goal is $300.
After October 31st, all qualified sponsers (fund raising teams) will be added to the back of the t-shirt, then printed and shipped out directly to you. Again, we need at least $150 in direct donations to get "MNSubaru.com" printed on the back; and t-shirt sales do not count toward our donation goal.

I would also like to have an event or gathering of some sort to celebrate our earnings as a Team! I think we can reach our goal and beyond! Throw some ideas around. Maybe a Halloween celebration or Fall Fest??

From what I have read, it's just the shirts that will have the logo on it. There are other merchandise options to buy that will contribute to the Keep a Breast Foundation.

Just as a reminder, the merchandise bought will not count towards our logo contribution.

 

so merch can be bought through scoobies for boobies but donations should be made through the other link? i just wanna know so i know my donation will help us along with others

We've donated and purchased shirts the last two years. Normally donate around $15 to the site. I'll have to wait until after this Friday to do so, though.

Oh My! How exciting!! $105!! Russ- Thanks so much for your offer. I think we should blow everyone out of the water this year!! I was thinking we should hold a gathering at the end of the month for a celebration...Anyone interested?? Grill out, make some food? (dependent on weather.) Pot luck kind of deal? Or we could all just go out.

Okay, so this looks interesting. I'd like to donate toward your $500 goal but have a question. I get that your goal and buying the shirt are separate but how do they come together? What I'm getting at here is how do I indicate when purchasing a shirt I want the one with MNSubaru.com on the back? Also, will the shirts be shipped to purchasers or will they come to one person (ex: Subie Lovers) and then need to be picked up? Thanks

 

MNSubaru.com will be just one of the logos on the back. They only make one template, with all the sponsors on the back.

As for shipping or picking up, we picked them up last year from Turbo_Turtle, but he's not around this year. And I think they are shipping them directly to people this time? I could be wrong.

 

Cool. Done and done. Now if they would only put the website logo on the shirt as well. What with it being awesome and all...

SubieMerch will ship merchandise as any other internet order would work. It looks as if they use a "Google Checkout System" where you would enter your card information and billing address.

Yes we have upped our Goal of $300 to $500. I figured we may as well blow people out of the water this year! There are 93 "Subaru enthusiastic Teams" donating to Scoobies for Boobies on the StayClassy website. Scoobies for Boobies will in turn give that money to Keep a Breast Foundation. We are 2nd just behind the Ohio group donating who has $880 raised. Currently we are at $400!! Only $100 more to go and we will be at the next tier for our groups logo & advertising. (below))

I am getting in Contact with the Gal who runs SFB to get details on what our next step will be and what will be on the T-shirts.

Maybe find a venue and set a date now? I'd suggest a Friday night, and maybe Old Chicago in Roseville, since it's somewhat centrally located.

 

Less then a week to order merch and make donations for the year.

 

Great to see this thread up and running this year.

THANKS to everyone who donated or bought merch... hope to see you sporting all that S4B attire.

I am also gauging intrest in a S4B's fun run next year. It would be a sponsored thing where the sponsors donatied a dollar amount per car. I was thinking about meeting at a local dealership for 2-3 hours than heading out to another dealership (max 2hr drive) and hanging out there for about 2-3 hours before the trip home.

This is currently in it's infancy stage and again I am just trying to guage intrest in something like this next October.

Great idea! Talk with Scott Putnam at Morrie's Minnetonka, and maybe Dave Goodman, since he's dealt with them a lot (his screenname is Scuba Steve). They've hosted mostly rally fests, and some swap meets for our club.

 

We expect the subie merch, that was ordered, to be arriving shortly... post up when you get yours.

Nothing yet here, but I did just move, so the T-shirt might be delayed because of that.

 

I think the mud flaps shipped from some where different then the rest of the merch. I figure the rest will ship from Subie Merch once the shirts are done. As for that being said, we are wondering where it is at/ expecting it any day.

GRRR another day without a box at my door.

 

Box came USPS today. It was addressed from a vender in Las Vagus.

I must say I like them but next year we need to hit the mark to get up in the white lettering. Did anyone know that the sweatshirts had the printing on the back because we didn't. Pretty cool that they do.

 

Still no box at my door... :-( hopefully the next few days.
