is this it? I've seen variables on the exact mixture while searching the internet. 1qt Redline lightweight shockproof 1qt Pennzoil Synchromesh (OR GM) 2qt Castrol HypoyC 80w-90 (acually 1.7qt) and who sells the HypoyC around town?
I saw some Castrol Hypoy C at Pep Boys the other day and almost purchased 2 quarts until I thought twice and figured our trannies needed 75w-90 and so I didn't buy them. I got online and realized the Hypoy C only comes in 80w-90. I guess I'm going back to get them at Pep Boys. The one I went to was in Brooklyn Center. I checked 3 AutoZone locations in Saint Paul, and they don't carry the Castrol Hypoy C bottles.
Courtney truck in EP has both or so they say. going to get it over lunch. 9.95 a quart for the RL Shock...spendy, but so is gas all the way up to LSE....
I just picked up the GM synchromesh...wow, spendy...went to the dealer. redline shockproof from Courtney Truck (I think the name is a front for the guys that work for them and race porsches. had two car cars in the shop getting engine/tranny overhauls. Castrol hypoy-c at bumper to bumper grand total of 38 bucks.....uke: about the same as the redline 7590ns
im running the 100% syncromesh without issue currently...and have been, well, for way too long, 45K or so, WOOPS
castrol stop making the 75w90 hypoc from what i've read on nasioc i found ONE bottle of that stuff all the way in the back of an autozone on rice street, LOL, but someone bought that bottle the next week i did this mix on my 06 and it was super nice
Lucky, the only thing I could find in Duluth was the Redline. Every place that sold penzoil or castrol couldn't even order the stuff for me. Retarded duluth stores. I got the hypoyC and the synchromesh off amazon.com though for a decent price.
that therapist place? heck no man.... LOL kidding, didn't know you worked there otherwise I would've stopped in.
LSE has redline too, ORileys or Pep boys for the castrol, Autozone (probably cheapist choice) has synchromesh, or any GM dealer. I'm probably goning to change mine out again sooner than later.
Changed it out last night..WOW, what a difference. like hot knife through butta! It's so smooth, should've done this a long time ago. It's even smoother than redline 75-90ns, which I've been using for a long time
If anyone is interested, I can take orders for the Syncromesh. I get employee pricing on GM parts. Special orders, too. That's USUALLY about half what the list price is. (More accurate on hard parts, ie brakes, etc) PN: 12345349 My buy: $6.54 Normal cost:$10.41 Sales tax not included. Comes to just under 7 bucks. Any takers?
haha, sorry Scuba. John, you're down for one. Any others? Any other GM fluids/products showing interest?
Any time constraints on this? I don't always get to the dealership as much as I'd like, but I plan on going tonight. If not tonight, it may be as long as two weeks. Google 56284 if you want to know why. lol
Haha..dude where on earth are you?!:laugh: That's a long drive for me to pick up the Syncromesh, how you want to do this?
GM syncromesh can be bought at any autozone for about 5-6dolla also i think......it's been a long time since i bought mine.....
NOOOOoooo... That's where my family lives and the garage that I get the good discount is at. I live in St Louis Park. haha
Oh, and this is the real GM stuff, not made by another company stuff that "meets GM specifications"......
