I went to Sears today and looked at some tools. There are so many sets that i didnt know what to get. So whats a good set to buy froms Sears or somewhere else that will be great for working on my car.

craftsman of course. the first thign i bought was a set of ratchet wrenches. the set had 8mm, 10mm 12mm 13mm and 14mm. they have the direction change button (soem dont). they work great perfect for doing everyday stuff to your car. like removing battery cables, taking off fenders, back seats, strut towers (the top hat bolts anyway) i find my set indespensible, except for the 13mm i never use. (wish it was a 17)

Does Sears sell cameras. I am going to have to go there again tonight to find some prices and before I buy something I will post up what I am going to buy. Its either tools and a camera or a UTEC.

Hey Speedemon if you have Costco Membership, just buy a camera there, you can return it whenever you feel like it, the only restriction is on PCs' where its a 6 month return policy.

Well a good one depends, on your opinion on it too, if you buy one just because someone else says its good, it might not be good for you, that's why the costco way is the best you try them out until you find the one you like. :D

how much are you lookin to spend on a tool set?
The 246 pc. MTS kit is pretty good for $189...

We do carry cameras, digital and regular, some good ones too, go in sometime and ask for Jeff, he knows his stuff.
any camera over 4 Megapixel is overkill for you, and technology prices have dropped quite a bit, just get between 3-4 Megapixel camera from a reputable company (sony, canon, nikon, etc.), i have a 4.5 MP Canon powershot, pretty good, it was around $400 a year ago... But shop around

Sears has a lifetime warranty for their tools. I just brought my 3 year old ratchet to them recently, and got a refurbished ratchet in place of it. :)

I'm not a big Craftsmen fan. Broke plenty of their crap. Have yet to break any of my Powerbuilt or Great Neck tools. They are by far cheaper. However they also have the same life time warrenty.

Head down to Tools and More for some real scream'n deals on tools. You wont even belive how cheap stuff is there. ;)

I use a tool-set that's made in Europe somewhere. The one that holds the sides of the nut/bolt opposed to the corners. We've had this set for 9 years now and it hasn't stripped a nut or bolt excepted really rusted ones. It either comes off, or the bolt breaks. If it's rusted, you know it'll either strip or come off.

    Their sites:
    http://www.metrinch-tools.com/
    http://www.mitools.com/index.php

I'm getting the 71 piece set when they arrive. We have the smaller set already (using for 9 yrs now). Matt (bikerboy) has seen and use them with us once. It's a loose fit, but it won't strip the nut or bolt because it holds the sides rather than the corners.
