so, I was like..hummm is my clutch cable stretching? So I adjust it some.....the later...hummm....do I need to adjus it more? So I do and drive again.....LATER that night, humm....it's getting worse, I have it adjusted and every minute that goes by, there more and more play in the clutch pedal even AFTER I made it tight!! ahhhHHHHHH SO yesterday I was dropping my tranny to inspect what the devils is happening in there. Took the whole exhaust off, then the tranny brace, then the shift linkage, then the axles, then the driveshaft, then the bolts that hold the tranny to the engine, then the wires, then the pitch mount, then the clutch cable, finally pulling the tranny out. She dropped down and I was looking at the pressure plate and clutch disc. Everything looks fine, then I look at the clutch lever that pushes the pressure plate, well, it looked a bit cracked and bent. hahaha I pulled the spring off and the clips that holds onto the throwout bearing and pull it out. I was looking at it and was wondering how much does one of these cost? Then I realised that I have a spare from the FWD tranny. So I grabbed it from the side of the garage and put it in. This is the hard part now. The tranny was suppose to go in just fine, but I have to try it 3 times!! It finally wne in on the 3rd try. TOOK LONG ENOUGH DAMITS!!! I bolted everything up and it was all good, except I need new gaskets for the exhaust manifold. Darn O2 sensor wires, hopefully I got them in their right places. Now all grease has to burn off the exhaust pipe. *sigh* what a day... I did later finished off the day going to the movies with the friends to watch "Grandma's Boy" then heading off to El's to plat pool. But really, I finished the day, well it was actually 1am-ish in the morning eating dinner. haahaaah Chicken and rice! The exedy heavy duty pressure plate must be too stiff? bahh..... It broke/cracked at the pivot point. I remember seeing the WRX one and it is SOLID metal, but of course a different setup, pull type.
Hey, I'm replacing Nhia's WRX clutch disc and pressure plate still. I told him to stop holding the car on inclines and hills, but he just doesn't listen. *sigh* Finishing sliding the tranny onto the engine in the morning.
