I have my eyes on a new toy but my wife has made it very clear that I can only have one ORV at a time. In order to aquire any others I have to sell this one first. So be it 1988 GL station wagon; started life as a 2WD 5MT but I converted it to 4WD 5MT Dual Range. Equipped with the original BYB 3" lift kit (pitch rod properly lengthend and installed; same with radiator hoses) EA82 SPFI was rebuilt a few years ago; the whole long block was done by a proffesional engine shop in the twincities (new left head, block magnaflux tested, cylinders deglazed and honed, other head pressure tested, valve job, crank turned, 100% new gaskets and seals). I installed it, bolted on all the accessories, and got it running. New parts: Water pump this last winter. Front wheel bearings and ball joints just this last month. Fuel pump last year. Rear brake lines over a year ago. 235/75 R15 Liberator AT tires with 90 % tread still! Straight Custom bumpers front and rear with legal tow points. Swaped upgrades: Rear disc brakes. 15" steel Pug rims. 1991 Loyale knuckles. Front right axle from '91 Loyale. EA81 Y pipe in great shape back to a new Thrush glasspack. Radiator swapped in; great shape with no rust. PCV system fixed so it doesnt suck oil on hard turns. Thule roof rack (I'm keeping the high lift jack though ) Spare Parts: Soooooo many spare parts. Tons of engine spare parts; MAF, TPS, IAC, Alternator, TB+injector, intake manifold assembly, timing belts, accessory belt, fusible links, Y-pipe, and more. Lots of drivetrain spare parts; complete rear diff assembly, front axles, rear axles, control arms, radius rods, struts, and more. Big box of all Subaru hardware; nuts, bolts, washers, etc. Bad Aspects: The rust She's still solid where it counts but shes rough around the edges. I feel perfectly safe driving it and have no doubts it is structuraly sound. It's been repainted (not a rattle bomb job! I used a good gun and quality paint) so it looks good. There's a few minor dents and scratches from offroading; such is life on the trails. My title says it all; chix dig body damage Not here to swindle anyone, hide anything, or lie about it; I have the title, registration is current, and it's street legal. This isnt a trailer queen; she gets me to the trails (2 - 6 hours one way usually!), on the trails, and gets me home. Not a lawn ornament either; I drive it to work often and all around the cities. It is what it is and there are plenty of pics that tell no lies. If you have any questions I will answer them. If you want to come see it and test drive it shoot me a PM. $950 OR BEST OFFER, So make an offer Local sale would be easiest but not exclusive; if you wanna work out an out of state deal thats fine. If the jeep is his daily driver; he might want a strictly offroad vehicle. Oh and my OHV sticker is still good till 2006 8)
95lwrx: Replied As to the speculations on what the 'new Toy' is. Lets just say; you wont be seeing me in a Subaru with 36" tires.
um...yea, I TOOK that first pic....yea, I've seen it in action....and it pwns you!! that's the worst hint ever, does that mean it's not going to be a subaru? or it's not going to have 36" tires??? my buddy just got a speeding ticket, so he's putting some more $$ in the heep, and keeping it.
Sold for $900. He came down tonight and test drove it. SIgned over the title, filled it FULL of spare parts, and he was off. Kinda sad seeing it go but I got a line on an '84 Toyota pickup with solid axles front/rear, 6" lift, and 36" tires.
SWEET!!! i gotta tag along to gilbert one of these times. congrat on teh sale morgan. hopefully your toyota will live up to the subie.
Someone bought the damn Toyota out from under me Welp I'm in the market for a new ORV. Lemme know if anyone sees a truck with solid axles for sale.
