4000 miles on it no dings on the rims, never ran into curb driven carefully to avoid knicks. Obviously a lot of tread left and just wanting to trade up for other rims.

Looking for $800 let m know with everything.

    Thanks
Can reach me at 612 600 9294 and ask for Ken

    For future reference.

Tires are the rubber things that make contact with the road
Rims are the outer portion of a wheel, where the tire is mounted.
Wheels are the round, metal things that bolt to the car. They have an outer "rim" where the "tires" are mounted.

Wheel sizes are given in the following format:
    18(diameter in inches)x8(width in inches) +40(offset)
Tire sizes are given in the following format:
    235(width in millimeters)/40(aspect ratio)/18(diameter in inches)

It becomes very confusing when you say you have rims and wheels for sale, and then start giving tire sizes for the wheel measurements.

    you'll get over it.

Im from california. And previous to that, im from chicago and the midwest. And i was in the navy. And after 7 years of browsing here, I am aware of the problems that constantly occur here. Someone searching for tires will not find this thread...well, they will now that it was corrected. And my post was informational, it contains information that is good to know when posting about wheels and tires for sale. If giving correct info and a little constructive criticsm makes your ass start to hurt, you are going to find car forums to be very unpleasant.

Hey Adam D. I see in your other thread, you have an STI. These wheels won't fit that car. Just a heads up. Different bolt pattern.

No, those don't work either. STI 2005-on has a bolt pattern of 5x114.3

WRX wheels have all been 5x100.

Are we going there already? I started off nice.
    1) It isnt about who is reading it, it is about who is searching for it. It has been a problem here for sometime. People that come here end up having to wade through 7 years worth of posts to find relevant information because when they try to use the search feature, they don't get much. And that is because if the rampant misinformation, spelling and grammatical errors that litter this forum. I should quote and post a PM I got in my inbox yesterday, I havent the slightest clue what the guy wants from me...maybe you can figure it out.
    2) "asshurt" refers to the constant barrage of self martyrdom that seems to pour out of some users here when they are given anything less than a cookie and a pat on their back for their posts. Criticsm is a fact of life, it is also a fact of this forum. Mine was constructive, but some people arent as eloquent...I can be mean about things sometimes as well. It boils down to the dynamic interactions that happen between individuals in a social setting. Some people see a constructive informational post and say "cool, thanks for clearing that up, now I know." while others weep and get all asshurt (there it is again) and take it as some kind of personal attack.

I posted information to the op for the enrichment of the search functions of this site. You replied with a sarcastic comment about "minnesota nice" because, I'm guessing, you took it personal. Why? I don't know. That is called "being an asshurt self-martyr" and battling with me over it just shows you want to be the martyr. Again, I still don't know why. Welcome to the internets. I would suggest not going on the offensive everytime you get information or criticism, as that never ends well.

Yeah, you'll get used to it. Secretly, (or not so secretly) he looks for any excuse he can to go off on a site noob. You get used to it.

To be fair, there are more mouth-breathing knuckle-draggers around here by the passing day, so it's almost assumed these days that anybody new around here is going to be a drooling moron.

Jokes are typically funny and have a punchline. It sounded more like you were sarcasticly implying that I was being passively mean to the op. I can see how you would mistake the two.

    Subject: Mesh
    Powder coated black 5-100
    Monday anytime

I am sure it is somehow related to my part out thread. But I have no idea what hes saying.

Here is a tip for all of you. When sending someone a PM, before you hit send, imagine inyour head that you and this person are standing face to face in real life...then read your PM out loud as if you were saying it to that person. If you sound like a ****ing retard, go back and edit your PM and try again until it sounds like you are having a conversation.

I'm lactose intolerant. The key is to stop drinking your coffee like a sissy art student girl. Black, dark coffee gets the job done better and faster since you aren't wasting 5 dollars on non-caffinated filler that also makes you nearly crap yourself on long drives.

I think they may be talking about your rims, and the fact that they would like to trade you for their 5x100 black powder coated rims and they will be available on Monday at any time.

Sounds like you're going to get a visit from five black dudes to "powder coat" you at 1am Monday.

Kinda makes me wonder how much you'd have to drink if you went for sissy art student girl coffee. What size mug is that you carry around? 64oz?

Right, but the subject was "mesh" Are his stock wheels the mesh ones? Or is he asking about mine? Subaru does have stock mesh wheels in 5x100. And there is no price offered. But I suppose I'd trade straight up. And there was no talk of tires involved.

That makes more sense. Mesh might refer to the sticky web of love that would be left on me after the assault.

Cool. I have 39 replies makes me feel famous...
Anyways, this thread was actually the 2nd one sent out, my original one. I am new to MNSubaru, but my 2nd one actually stated that I was selling both tires and rims.
Yes the tire size is 235/45/17 which is new on the 2011 wrx
The wheeles are 5x100 bolt pattern, however they are 17x8 instead of the standard 17x7 that WRX had previous to my year.

I was attempting to sell both (tires and rims/wheels) for $800 as I asked above, however I will be keeping my tires AND I have a guy ready to buy my stock (5x100 17x8 gunmetal) rims for $550 and is just waiting for my new rims to come in the mail so that I can switch them out.

Sorry to have caused confusion and/or an altercation between so many people but in real honesty I've been very amused and I feel like we need to all get together and have a fight club then go out for a coke at Culvers afterwards.

    Let me know

It is a hypothetical sissy art student girl. She doesn't actually exist. And besides, she likely wouldn't appreciate a bunch of dudes having a "biggest cock" contest over whose car can kill the environment faster.
