Last edited 8/29/09 6:59PM Hey everyone, Just a heads up that there will be another SEMN cruise this year. The plans are being made, the cops are paid off and the neighbors have been warned. I will update this post as details are added. So far we have the following: Date: September 5th and 6th (Saturday and Sunday) Meeting up at the IGH walmart, 8:30am. Leaving for Rochester 9am sharp. For those already in Rochester (including anybody living there) we will meet at Target on Maine (south) in the SE corner of the lot at 10am. The Plan: Saturday 9AM the group will leave from the cities to meet up in Rochester where we will spring off to a little cruise. The currently planned route will hit some scenic roads and will include Chatfield, Lanesboro and Rushford areas. We can hit Subway in rushford for lunche. This route can also be extended if desired but we will be back in Rochester in time to get hotels or other sleeping arrangements squared away before dinner @ HuHot (by 3riks request, good call buddy!) followed by a gathering at Blackozones house for drinks. For those who are here Sunday AM we will do a brunch buffet (featuring BACON!!!! and a Bloody Mary bar) at one of our local favorite spots Whistle Binkies :yumyum::BACONBACON::yumyum: after which there WILL be a discounted tattoo day at Rochester Tattoo and also some Go-Karting @ Skyline Raceway as well as whatever else we decide to do at that point. This is a Pay your own way type of event. Send no money (well you can if you want), you pay for everything yourself. Also, the friday before is 4ric and Nickoles wedding, so if you like you can make it a 3 day weekend here. Hotel Info: Rexarew was kind enough to reserve us a block of rooms for people who wish to stay the night and cannot or will not fit into Lee's bed. This is a very nice place IMO and well worth staying at. If you want a room please hurry and reserve one soon or Nickole will have to release them to the public. *Note, Nickole was nice enough to give me a tour of the hotel, this is a very nice hotel and its located within 1/4 - 1/2 mi of several of our activities. If you feel I have missed anything, want to make suggestions or just have questions please, post or PM me. We (the SEMN crew) would like to have you all come down and have a great weekend with us. Josh, I just e-mailed you the hotel group block I set up for this. I will pm you some more info with links and what-have you that you can copy and paste as far as rooms I have held for whomever needs to stay. Last year was a blast! I look forward to this years!!
rexarew, beth and I will be needing a room. Also, I think one of my favorite things from last year was hanging at lee's house bsing and throwing a few beers back!! put that on the schedule somewhere. lol josh did you get me pm?
I did, and I must say you really should be ashamed of yourself. Those poor little helpless animals. Also I fowarded that to the Federales, I'm pretty sure that violated several federal and international laws.
What the crap! How come nobody called me? Also, yes, there will be open bed, floor, and sofas at my place. Also, I'm planning on hosting a BigWheel race this year on our street. Let's see if we can get a tourney going!
:laugh: I think I should be able to make it this year for the SEMN cruise. Willing to host a shindig possibly too depending on what arrangements are made. By then I should have the TV/video game situation fully operational and the brewing system down pat. I'll have to be the anchor man/rehydration station on the cruise though, unless you all like following the grandpa car...... I'll bring the snap straps and all the necessary gear in case we have to pull someone out of the ditch again...... :biggrin:

Dont worry bout smee. Ill be nice. If I stay over till Sunday. I hear there are great roads be tween here N there like from Wabasha to Highway 52 on Hwy 60.. So I am told. I think there might be a few other ones as well Ill find out.

Excellent point, I'd like to clear this up. As was last year, we will NOT be hosting a "fun run". This is a cruise through some valley roads that are fun, but will not be breaching the speed limit. While it would be nice to have fun runs, most of these roads are familiar to use because we frequent them. That said, we'd rather not attract too much attention. Last year's cruise was great and I posted the entire route and itinerary on the boards for months, there wasn't a problem.
I cant wait for this! Does anybody have a back yard that we could do a bonfire at? Just an idea for evening activities...
We don't allow doggies at our hotel But I'd be happy to dog sit for the evening.. My mom has two corgis that Court can chill with during sleep hours!
great idea! so is this now part of the plan? drink at a fire at your place to wind down the night? want a couple of roomies???
