This is the official thread for the SEMN Cruise this year. Sorry for the delay in response, I've been too caught up in other things and forgot to put a thread up on this. The SEMN Cruise is still on and will be commencing this weekend. We'll meat up at the Super America in Zumbrota (On Highway 52) around 11:00. I'd like to depart by 11:30 at the latest. At that point, we'll be taking a route to land us in Wabasha for lunch at Slippery's. Once lunch is done, we'll be taking some other roads back and around to Rochester. Once in Rochester, we'll have some down time so everyone can get situated with overnight arrangements before dinner. Dinner's location is yet to be determined, look for a poll on it today. After dinner we'll be free to do whatever is desired, my house will be open again to those interested in hanging out or needing a place to crash. I have 1 open couch and a loveseat available as well as plenty of floor space. I would ask that you bring pillows and blankets/sleeping bags as I only have so many of those to go around. On Sunday morning, we'll be doing brunch at Whistle Binkie's (South) for breakfast. It's crazy delicious and pretty cheap (Around $12). Also, they make fresh waffles for you while you wait. I, myself, will be having some baconwaffles on Sunday. Also, just so it's clear: This will be a Cruise, not a fun-run. We'll be obeying posted speed limits for a number of reasons: 1) Some of us (myself included) will have families riding with 2) Us locals in the dirty south do not want to cause problems with local Law Enforcement 3) While it looks to be a clear day on Saturday, it will still be a bit cold. For those of us already on snow tires, grip is already compromised. For those of us still on Summer tires (like me), the temps can make it like driving on hockey pucks. I'll be at the Wild game Saturday. Damn I wanted to make this too, hope the weather holds out for you guys.
Won't make it to the cruise, but I'll be there for te afterparty/ fights? Rampage v Machida and Penn v Hughes.
Since the only information I've been getting is people not able to attend, I'd like to ask for a show of hands of people still interested in this? If there just isn't enough interest in the SEMN Cruise this weekend, I may postpone it until next spring. At the moment, I'm thinking this may need to be rescheduled...
At this time, I'm forced to postpone the SEMN cruise until (probably) next Spring. Allow me to apologize for dropping the ball on planning this, I will try to make it up to everyone when we get this rolling for real.
The date was voted on and decided, but my communication on here was piss-poor at best. I put this off and didn't really give it the attention it needed. When we come around to Spring and this gets underway, I'll be better about making sure there's good communication and announcements concerning the cruise.
