Shawano, Wisconsin is a small town about 3-4 hrs from TC on this side of GreenBay. This event takes place at a large go-kart track - so its sure to have a lot of tight twisties - think autox/HPDE mixed together.

i didnt see any price info.. depending on that i think i would go

 

Last I saw it was $65/hr - however that works out. Most HPDEs are around $200+/day

 

it is $65 to run for non-member, and $55 for members

i have run that track before - it's really fun.

It looks neat, but man, what a drive. You drive a few hours out, race all day, and then drive all the way back, lol. I'd be fun though.

I know there's a race track in the Cities somewhere, had racing lessons + track time in a mini-formula car(something like $1000), or you could bring your own ride and race all day for a few hundred bucks. I think it was in the Star Tribune some time back, talking about unique gifts or something. Sorry I'm not to clear, should have written it down.
