Got me a Fuji pulled Ej22t block from Jackstand for a new powerplant in the GC. Going to build it her up with some eagle rods/acl or cosworth bearings and I havent decided on pistons yet...

    Pictures!

Stripped her from the waterpump, oilpump and crossover pipe.

I thought she looked alittle dirty, so I gave her a makeover.... ;)

Yah, she cleaned up alright, still alot of residue/gunk. Once I get the halves out of the hot tank it will look alot better, also show me where I need to do some touchups.

It's only 17 bolts to split the halves. WTF ;)

Word on the street is, CP is where its at. Spendy yes. Bomb-proof, yes. They will be my next pistons.

You have to have them made, but from the stories I've been told by a very experienced engine builder, they are worth the money. STi rods will break before the CP's. :eek3:

^Good golly miss Molly! Tim told me the story you told him about the rod breaking and the cp piston was reused in the next build. Very impressive.

I don't know that the piston was reused, just that it survived and the rod did not.

Yes. If you go CP Pistons, you might want to reconsider the choice of Eagle rods, in favor of something alittle more bomb proof and less air soft proof.

If he is going to build something that absolutely needs Pauter Machine rods, as in over 700hp, he'll want to sleeve it anyways. All of a sudden, your shortblock costs another $1500 :eek3:
