I was wondering if anyone knew what the thred size was for the shift knob on a short throw in a 2002 wrx.
The Kartboy threads are the same as the stock threads. Any shift knob that works on a WRX will work on the KB.
go to the hardware store, take your shift knob insid with you, find a bolt that threads in....wallah instant knowledge of the size
Holy thread resurrection... The threads are 12mmx1.25. If that sounds strangely familiar, it happens to be the same exact measurement as your wheel studs. So, if you got a real bee in your bonnet, you could use a fancy lug nut as your shifter knob (ouch) or 20 Kartboy shift knobs as your lug nuts (they'd be pretty tough to torque down, though). On the plus side, you can put a spare lug nut on your Kartboy short shifter to protect the top threads while installing it in an overly exuberant manner. Stuart.
