So, this is more than a "look shiny" thread and I'm just wondering if you guys have any advice that'll make my life easier when I install these. It'll be a first for me and I'll be using this link:

as my guide as well as the '06 WRX service manual. I got all the tools I think I need (GearWrench, spring compressor, etc..) Any hints, words of wisdom, etc..is appreciated. Oh and I will be tackling this with hand tools. Thanks guys!

I've got a cordess impact wrench, if you'd like to borrow it. Shoot me a PM, I might be willing to come over and help out. I'll most likely be buying mine in the next couple weeks. :)

    Nate,

Depending on the timing, I've got air tools, a garage, spring compressors and some expereince (on Nissans, but struts are struts).

Me and se7enrex did his whiteline springs in 2 hours flat. Struts are cake.

    They looked great.

if all goes well with an impact and the right tools it could be done in under 1.5hrs all four corners...

    Dont forget the alignement...

have a gas-torch nearby in case... heat always helps rusted bolts, lots of penetrant (no penetration for Ray)... patience... it really isnt a huge undertaking, but if it is your first time.... go slower and do it right.. double check especially the top nut ont he sturt that holds the stut top on...

Yeah, and impact to take off the old bolts ithout ruining them, and a torque wrench to put them back on right.

You will need an alignment afterwards.

You running any alignment specials Nathan? I really need one now.

I loosened the strut top bolt just a bit prior to taking the strut/shock assembly out...that was a lot easier than doing it after the fact...but I think that's in one of the iwsti write-ups anyway.
