I was walking into my apartment complex at the time when I heard the shots fired. My deck looks right out onto that parking lot and they had half of the lot roped off for a couple hours. Crazy, I didn't even think anything of it at the time as... "this is Rochester, and it's the middle of the afternoon". Plus there is a shooting range right down the street that you can hear for all hours of the day. :ugh:

Oh, there's shootings there all the time. Rochester Village apts is notorious for shootings. SW part of down is supposed to be the worst, but I do remember several times there were shootings at the Rochester Village Apts.

All in all, Rochester is a very safe town. My girlfriend complains about Madison all the time. Population of Madison is probably 3 times what Rochester's is. More people, more bad people.
