    Hey guys,

My name is Andy and I am currently looking to join the ranks of the MN Subaru owners. I am looking for a Legacy GT 2008-2012. I am living in the Twin Cities and hope to become an active member here.

Anyone have any local recommendations on where to continue my search? I have been checking all the usual sites (cars.com, carsoup.com, autotrader.com, etc.) and trolling the For Sale section here. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Also if it's in your budget and timeframe, search cars.com on the east coast for Legacy GT's it seems to be the place to find them, not too many flow through the MN, Chicago maybe.

There is something to be said about driving or flying out to find a good car. My cousin found a very clean, rust free, low mileage bugeye that way.

With the prices of used cars... why not order a new one?

    Welcome!

I would have to agree with ofspunk7, is buying new an option?

At times I've wished i spent the extra cash to buy new, just for the satisfaction of knowing how the car was treated during its early miles... but in the end i still ended up with a car i enjoy.

Anyways, good luck with the search. If I hear/see anything pop up ill send it your way.

No, it's cool. It's those OBP's you have to watch out for.

Nothing wrong with an 2005, that's what I have and it drives great with no issues, just no Aux or Mp3 and no folding rear seat's but other wise it's great and still a head tuner

Honestly, you're looking for unicorns locally. You'll need a fair bit of patience and luck. I would be looking out of state and having someone local to the seller inspect it for you.

Thanks Surly, that is what I am beginning to realize, everyone I have contacted in the past two months has sold before I got to them. I am not in a huge rush, but may begin looking into non-local options. I am also looking into the possibility of a Forester XT or a WRX sedan. Looking to stay under 70,000 miles and $20k and so I have some money to play after. . .

Welcome. Good luck with the search. Took me a while to find my LGT around here and just happened to find it by accident.
