Should I buy a used pe1820 for $1000?

    I have an oppertunity to purchase my dream turbo for $1,000.00 a pe1820!!!

    it has 9k miles on it, and "zero shaft play"

    should I even consider buying this for $1,000.00 + frieght?

    -18G ~ 590-600cfm
    -1820 ~ 630cfm
    -20G ~ 650cfm

    Doesn't the pe1820 use the p20 exhaust housing (same as vf22).
    Seems like you could get the same (or more) performance for less money.

    WAAAYYYY to much money for what you will get out of it. 16g evoIII will put down more power that a 1820. And the lag that a 1820 is good for, you might as well run a 20g. IHI exhaust housing are some of the worst housings on the market.

    thats what i was thinkin russ! i'd say go with an evoIII 16g or the 20g those are my two choices when i go big

    yeah but this was for 1 thousends of dollars not 1.8 thousends... LOLz:biggrin:

    besides I think I'll go 20g. (got it in my garage)

    I like the idea of a smaller dual ball bearing turbo with a less restrictive exhaust housing, the pe1820 fits the bill, but is it worth 1000 used?

    prolly not when I have got a td06h 20g in the garage....

    so any one on here wanna buy a vf39 with 23,000 miles on it? cuase I think I might be putting the 20g in very soon.

    actualy, no visable waste gate crack, NO shaft play, about 23,000 miles and the last 700 miles were at 12psi...LOLz

    $300-$350 is about right for a that turbo. I got one with 5k miles on it for $375.
