Which is better, getting an intake(thinking SPT) or removing that thingy thingy from my inside fender and get a K&N air filter? This is going to be in my stage2 upgrade.

the intake isn't gonna really take you anywhere unless you want it

if you're going with an intake, go with a cold air
    spt intake = crap

Go the free route and get the best of all worlds....

Remove the snorkle from the wheel well area and leave everything else stock. It isn't a huge change, but you'll get a better sounding intake and won't hurt anything. And, oh ya, FREE baby.

But, I got an intake early in my mods and it wasn't the end of the world. I just really wanted an intake for some reason. Be carefull though of running lean with a new intake.

I vote "Don't waste your money on an intake" and get some sort of EM.

Remove the intake silencer and hear all the delicious squishing, whooshing and hissing noises, safe for the car, music to the ears :yumyum:

I've got a typhoon (k&n) short ram intake with a heatsheild and my car runs fine with cobb stage 2. And its proven my unabomber on nasioc and many others to not run lean and mess with the maf reading due to its design and the way it flows air over the maf sensor. My car acutally pulls harder up top and has better mid range as well, the bottom end hasn't changed though. Also my defi egt gauge hasn't read any differently since my install.

yes, i will have it tuned if i get an Intake(goes with my Stage 2). Should I have it tuned too if I just remove that silenser from my fender and drop in a K&N filter?

No need for a tune if u use a drop in filter and/or silencer delete

Why does every one want a intake for there car? Most all of them loose power. I wish I could still run my stock air box.

Yep...you really only need an intake upwards of 300hp(bigger turbo) anyway. But then you would need a tune, so engine management should come first anyway. Stock works just fine with a filtercharger. De-snorkel, and leave it at that for best performance.
