I know this is completely random, sorry.... But, my family is buying a digital camera for my grandma and we need some help. My grandma still to this day uses disposable cameras like they are going out of style and we made the decision that she needs to enter the real world. Now, what is going to be a camera that is super easy to operate, for an old lady with no electronics experience, and still takes decent pictures? My grandma loves to take pictures and would eat up a digital camera if she could get over her fear of operating it. I know there are a lot of people on here who know WAY more than I do about this, so this is my best resource. Thanks for any help. The picture is my avatar on another forum... Look at the lady, she is a sweet heart.
I have a canon point and shoot (SD630) i like it alot. if you leave it on auto mode it takes some decent pics and you need to know nothing about how to use it beside turning it on and zooming in. IMO the hardest thing to over come when it comes to digital cameras is putting the pics on a computer which requires some techno-knowledge. unless she just does the print kiosks at the local photo shop.
I think we are going to just start her on the Walmart kiosk for now. I agree on the whole transfer images thing to a computer. Thanks for the input.
pretty much any point and shoot digital camera would work well.... and will always take better pics then the disposable...
Kodak makes a half way decent one that sits on a dock and connects to a printer. http://www.nextag.com/Kodak-EasySha...ices-html?nxtg=1ffb80a1c0517-384C76C2EB6AC4C9
They don't come much simpler than this... http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=2623&e=product&pid=41306&mainid=37019&acccat=cameracc. Picture quality is fairly grim, though, and only 640x480.
