^ The "winnar" of this race (on a really tight ice/snow course) doesn't really reflect on the cars' capabilities. But it still shows a cool variety of AWD driving. The only way to fairly compare the cars would've been to run them each separately and timed them. But even then it would've been more about driving style and tire compounds than the cars' differences. But I'm quite sure the GT-R would've fared much better if it hadn't been stuck behind "Drift King" driving the Suby for the whole race. (If you read the comments on youtube, there's a breakdown of who was driving each car)
Pretty cool video. The skyline doesnt belong on snow though. I love the comments on how the skyline should have owned haha
Yeah, those guys are idiots. It's like somebody took a shovel and scraped the barn floor over at StreetFire, then dumped it at YouTube. The Skyline is a primarily RWD vehicle. IIRC, the split is something like 90% Rear bias while on throttle. I'm surprised he kept up as well as he did.
Gan San is driving it, so in this case the best driver was driving the worst car. Dori Dori cant drive worth sheit on snow apparently, he makes some huge mistakes. Also you dont get stuck in snow banks like that, you hit them like dirt barriers. Ask me how I know =[
I could try to plow a longer and wider course this year, it all depends on how much snow we get. those banks dont look very foregiveing
yep. Maybe i'll still have a car to do it in this year. hoping to drop the hyper bannana this week... and perhaps it replacement might not be awd... Pete! I'm looking at you for codrives! We can make it happen in the poop legacy!
I vote for a larger course this year!! If the course was wider i dont think the snow bank thing would be as big of an issue. God that video makes me want snow even more now~!
its cool to see the guy with the imprezza was the only one who knew how to have a good time on ice... the other guys were just driving the car.... LAME
hell yeah man..leggy will be up and runnin next week. this makes me very eager to get in the snow. i dunno about multi car paths tho. not with the amount of jag being consumed up there.
thats crazy, its just sad to know that with such a large course, my car wont have enough pep to kick it sideway like will need to.
I agree with the no multicar paths...the last thing we need is a collision. But a big wide lane course would rock solid...more room for us posers to have fun being super number 1 dorifto mega sensastion in japan OK!11
That video was fun to watch. So is this track up north you guys are talking about, is it like an organized event? It sounds like a good time.
I vote for last years style. Narrow, it separates the men from the boys. I didn't get stuck or tag a bank either weekend.
or it separates the quality of tires..... just cause your cars a beast and your a good driver doesnt mean you need to rub it in our faces... crap i just wana get sidways..
