Snow this weekend There is a chance of snow showers this Sunday Oct 11th, high of 37 degrees. MAC have an autox event scheduled that day, that should be fun Should bring my snow tires.
HA! hahahahahaha I will so laugh if this happens, why? because I've told a number of people here that we'll see our first snowflakes fly by the second week of october.
Months ago, the farmers almanac, based on moon phases and other weather pattarns...Predicted this would be the coldest winter in decades. With mostly dry conditions and very little snow. I really want to get dumped on this year without the sub zero temps though. I havnt had an awd vehicle in years. So I'm looking forward to allot of snow.
^^ those things are a bunch of crap. LOL I hope we can get some good snow for fun car times as well as snowboarding
Our current weather people are crap in my opinion. Why the **** hasnt the sun come out in a week. wtf?
Chances of snow for the duluth trip! I have heard that this year will have a mild winter (temp wise) and due to the slightly warmer temps we will receive large amounts of snow. This makes me happy.
Last I checked, meteorologists only predict the weather, that is not the same as controlling it. Trying to find a reliable pattern amongst chaos is impossible. But we will see.
You do realize the ground temperature isn't going to be cold enough for the snow to stick in any volume that would require you to drive on snow tires, right? Is this your first winter here?
Northern Minnesota got pounded with snow last year. The deer herd took a decent hit. I don't care how cold it gets, honestly. I just want it to warm up somewhat early so we can finish spraying my car before May.
I wish it would snow...but it won't. I'm Mr. Skeptical nowadays when it comes to winter weather and the amount of snow we get in the twin cities. This place sucks for snow. I'd love to see a 24" snowstorm some day in the near frickin future, but it will never happen here
There is a chance for snow on Friday up here in Fargo, but I will be in the cities this weekend, so I wont even get to have fun in it
THIS THIS THIS!!!!!!! I cant wait to go riding. Seems like I didnt get enough in last year, so Im hitting it hard this season. I'll be posting up for a Lutsen Cruise/Snowboard meet. I had one last year, but only 1 person showed (Kyle!) Watch out for moar details.
lol I have a harescramble on Sunday and it's been raining for like 2 straight weeks now. Mmmmmmmmmm.......38* mud + rain + sleet + snow = yikes.
I hate Winona it's not supposed to snow until Monday MAYBE:sadbanana: . I've been waiting for a good ole fashioned MN winter, hopefully it can be this year, and the following...and the following still haha
I think he needs to get his friend - the sad and not crying banana, and go find some snow to play in!
I'm not looking forward to having to spend money on snow tires. I'm on "all-seasons" that'll "stand up to cold and light snow just fine", but I don't believe a word of it. Tread blocks are far too large for winter. I am looking forward to drifting again, though. Had plenty of fun last winter.
Same here. Been shivering my ass off the last couple days. I had on a t-shirt, thick hoodie, wool socks, pants and then put on a coat and said f-this. Turned on the heat for 30 minutes just to get the house about 50 degrees. Turnning it off now that its at 65. I've never turned the heat on this early before. In the winter my wife and I use a heated blanket. We put it underneath the sheets, so we lay ontop of it. Crank it up to high just before going to bed so the bed is toasty when you get in it. Then sleep with it on low. You can keep the heat down pretty low durring the winter doing htis and save some bank on gas through the winter.
I had to grab some gloves and cut the fingers off to keep my hands from freezing. Not going to turn on the heat quite yet, it takes a lot to keep this house warm, and it will run all day just trying to make it 70. We need to save money
Heating oil/natural gas/propane is supposed to be the cheapest it has been in over a decade this winter!
Was riding in rain...than snow. Snow forever. Find something better than few raindrops. Find...precipitation.
So, weather.com says it's gonna be overnight 'snow showers'. Think we'll have any accumulation for tomorrow?
