I know since we are all addicted to speed and power, there must be a few snowmobilers out there. Dream and I were discussing riding a bunch this winter.

I've rid'em before but don't own one. If you guys have plan to ride this winter, I'm game if there's a place close by that rent them. Anyone here on the board have an extra snowmobile I can rent from will do as well.

You can usually rent sleds at any resort in the winter, its not cheap though. The past 3 years myself and some people I work with go up to International Falls for a long weekend, maybe we can get some people to do that this year.

Yeah my sled is a rocket, 90 indy 400, I need a sticker that says fear this sled. I've only put on about 100 miles on the thing in 2 years, and have no experince otherwise, mainly i just use it for ice fishing.

My buddy has a 86 indy 400 that I'd bet he'd be willing to go for cheap, it needs a little work, but it's a decent sled.

Yeah i have one too, maybe when i'm home for christmas we all could go for a spin. There's just somthing about flying along at over 100 mph 4 inches above the snow and only a few feet from trees.

I currently dominate on my '00 MXZ 600. I ride on the south side of the cities whenever there is snow (there WILL be snow this year). A buddy of mine has a cabin up on Vermillion....best riding EvAr. There are literally hundreds of miles of trails in all directions, plus the lake (ewwwww!). The trails consist of wide trails across the marshes (flat and fast) and tight, technical twisties through the trees. My group of firends definitely prefer the latter. Best part.... NO TRAFFIC! We will see 15-20 sleds in a typical 250-300 mile weekend during the dead of January. Unfortunately, the place is out of commission this winter. The are rebuilding next spring and is being demolished next week. We are planning at staying at one of the resorts on Vermillion twice this winter....

    Next year....new sled for me!

Why do you feel that way? Like to cruise the lakes? There is no better chasis than the new 06 Rev with the new front end and skid! Polaris is starting to get their act together and put together a good chasis. I may go that way if they continue to imporve next year. If not, Rev it is... The only thing I don't like about SkiDoo is their warranty practices. I will save you the long babbling email, but in the end, I paid >$900 for repairs on a sled with 150mi on it! As for their engines...they have had a glitch here and there, but who hasn't? How about a 600 SDI?! Better gas mileage than any 600, by a long way (with the same power). Any way, even though I do ride the Doo, I am not a brand whore, they just have the best trail sled right now (although the "F"s are close, if they would stay together).

It also weighs >30% more....no thanks! I will never-ever-ever buy a sled that weighs over 500lbs! ...end of story! The new SDI sleds get very near the mileage and weigh the same as a std 2-stroke. 4-stroke is not the answer, direct inject is...

I dont think you can compare a 600cc to a 1000cc, my sled weighs around 490 and the ski doo sdi 600 weighs around 475, thats not 30%,
