so im driving home from university tonight.... on the backroads right behind my house.... and i see this tree come falling down. so i hit the brakes but still nailed the tree... part of it landed on my car cuz the top of my windshield is broken, and the frame above my door is dented. the passenger mirror is broke off, and the right headlight is broken. and im really pissed off right now... I LOVE that car. i hope insurance is covering and replacing all this. :eek4:
wtf?!?!? Wow, that really sucks, man. Glad to hear that at least you're ok. Cars can be replaced; you are really lucky when you think about it.
thats what full coverage is for i guess... but still, its gonna be phone calls... and will take like 2 months before its al fully replaced and back to normal. but yeah, could have been worse, i could have been there 2 seconds earlier and the whole thing coulda landed on my car.
not all that big, but its crazy that it happened on THAT road at THAT time... like, the tree hit the ground just as my car got to it.... thankfully subarus ride higher than most sports cars, so the trunk itself went over the car, but a couple bigger branches hit the top of my windshield. its decently minor damage, but definitely one im calling insurance for, cuz like i said the hoods gonna be replaced as well asthe mirror and door trim. the tree was in like 4 or 5 pieces when i went back to look at it though. i was cruisin about 50 and it was on a dirt road, so i wasnt able to slow down much. this is the 3rd car that ive had thats gotten damaged now. pisses me off.
your insurance should take care of it under the act of god part. My buddy got water in his car from drivin through a big puddle when it was raing real hard and his insurance paid for the repair...
You wouldn't read about it.....christ man. Although 8 posts and no one has said it yet..PICS! with obligatory foot shot.
so i have to pay the first ****ing $500 worth of repairs and my ****ing insurance rate is gonna go up on top of that. ****ING insurance! im even more pissed now. even though i knew something of that nature would happen.... ****in trees. burn em all.
dude you might be surprised, your insurance probably will not go up much if at all because this is something that you did everything you could to avoid. like getting rear-ended, you can only do so much on your end. they will however review your file and find any tickets etc in the last 3 to 5 years depending on your driving style (hope you don't have any!) but relax and breathe and remember you're okay, that's what we all care about first, the car is second
