it looks tough.... well the pedal part does..... not so much the broken part. a Mitsu story, "Looks pretty tough"
I don't have anything against mitsu, but the quality of their cars has definitely taken a turn for the worse. Plastic pedals? I guess if you are trying to save weight everywhere you can...... Looks like a casting flaw with the plastic, or just a lemon part. -Steve
Seriously, that looks like something off a pc wheel/pedal set. And a cheap wheel/pedal set. I've been expecting this to be a hoax, but I figure someone would have said, hey thats not an evo pedal my now.
You gotta be kidding me. How hard would you have to beat on the thing to make it break if it were a quality component? There's a nice opportunity for someone with a little start-up money: lightweight strengthened pedals and arms for Evos. I sure hope the brake pedal assembly is made of something a bit beefier.
mitsu is a joke, once they have a couple thousand accidents to deal with due to their craptacular parts, they might reconsider.
Of all the things that I hear happen to the mitsus.. i would of never though about this. LOL. SUBARU FTW!
hahaha there's so many people in that thread saying their wanting to buy an STi now! I'm actually suprised at how many people are actually bad-mouthing mitsu on that forum, I woulda thought they would all fanboi it up
IIRC Saturn Ions have plastic arms for the clutch pedal as well. I beat the living **** out of mine and never had a problem though.
also, where is the "T" at the end of Mitsubishi? When ever I see the word in my mind it has a silent "t" at the end.
The owner didn't read the manual. Step #2 was to flagellate yourself with the broken pedal for buying the thing in the first place.
No. There are two cars in question in this thread. The friend does not have the same picture as the one in the OP (stone v. wood floor)
