I wake up this morning and walk out side and notice that my truck is gone! Yup, gone, vanished in thin air.... So i call the cops and report it stolen and then im off to work.
I get to work and pull my car in the bay to find out that most of my lug nuts are loose and my side skirts are cracked. they tried to steal my wheels but since was so low the couldnt get their jacks underneath it. So i began to check my car out and i noticed that the passenger door lock looked as if somebody jammed a screwdriver in there. The worst part about it is, my key fob for my car alarm took a poop on me (new one is on order) so i cant arm my alarm. So that being said none of this would have happened if my fob wouldnt have died. My alarm would have gone off and my and the killer dog wold have been outside in a heartbeat.

So yea thats how my day was.

Wow dude sorry to hear that. Gotta get lug keys for this specific reason.

It doesn't really matter where this happened. In fact, if I were you, I would rather not mention where this happened since you just told us all that your alarm doesn't work. ;)

Yea i have a set of wheel locks and trust me, they dont work. the only thing that stopped them was the height of the car. It happened in front of my moms in a nice quiet neighborhood. I was house sitting for a week and got hosed. Just glad it was my truck and not the car. New key fob showed up today and is programed and installed. :)

nope.. I work at a dealership and regularly have to remove lock nuts off customers cars cause they dont have a key but insist we rotate their tires...

one slightly tight socket, a hammer and an impact.. off in 2 secs..... (if you dont actually have actual tool)

like i said if it is a thief who has any idea.. your car wont exist anymore.. In Sydney Australia, a bunch of lebanese guys stole an RX3 that was known all over the country out of a garage that was alarmed and in a 1 lane driveway with 3 other cars parked in the driveway... the guy came out, car was gone, but all the other cars were where they had been left... (parked under his bedroom window mind you) they had at least 5-6 guys who lifted the other vehicles out of the driveway, then pot them back...

the idea is to make it difficult and time consuming and noisy for the thieves..

When I was still up there my car was parked in a garage down a 1/4-mile long single-lane dirt driveway shared with two other neighbors. Aside from the herds of deer you usually encountered at night on the driveway there were also a pack of really mean feral cats. Even though you think a thief would like the quiet out in the middle of nowhere like that it would be a) very difficult to case the place without being noticed, b) only a single lane of access which can easily be blocked off if/when a neighbor comes or goes (and they're the type to stop unknown cars), and c) if they hit my place at night the feral cats would come out of the woodwork. Seriously, those things were crazy. 20 feral cats > watchdog.

sorry to hear about this bud! :(
weather's getting nicer, so the criminals start coming out. Lynn's car got broken into twice last summer at our house! time to invest in some infrared cameras.

    Update....

Truck found... Blown Right front tire (33/12.5/15 BFG AT) $150, Broken steering column, (which i just replaced) $100, Possible blown motor, possible suspension damage, and a parking ticket for the truck sitting in the street.

It gets better.... I get home from work and discover that my car is vomiting coolent from a location unkown due to amount of anti-freeze all over the engine bay.

    When it rains it poors.

    haha

so true. the best part is subaru oem locking lugs use the same key as about a bazillion other oems and generic brands. Which anyone who pays $20 for a set of them can get. I still have a key from having a set like 7 years ago.

Spline drives? you can rip those off with vice grips even. not to mention the easily available spline keys out there.

Anyone who wants those things can have them. There isn't much you can do about it other than common sense, park it safely and be lucky.

Pretty sure you can get out of that one once you show the police report dated earlier than the ticket stating your car was stolen.

    bummer!

Check the upper underside of the upper hose... it like to contact the rad fan.

Also check for seapage at the plastic end tank and filler neck.

If it's all over the place tho, I'm guessing upper hose got sliced by the fan and the fan slung coolant all over the place. I would give you one of my old hoses, but my oem one just failed yesterday and all I had left was a samco and an almost blown out oem one.

I looked on the underside of that hose. It's all there, no cuts.
