HI everyone! Not sure if anyone has done this or not, but I wanted to see where everyone worked at.. or what their occupations are, etc .. just for fun! Then I can start harassing people in my field for a new job  Anyway, I work for Ameriprise as an Annuity Service/Transactions rep. I answer calls all day long and try to figure out complex problems based on contractual language. Also process transactions. I think I've handled millions by now ... what about everyone else?
http://www.mnsubaru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12139&page=7 This is a great idea....here is the link to the thread that is pretty much what you're talking about!
Kind of .. but that is like .. services that can be rendered to any forum member ... this one is informational and no, I am not a hookup for insurance!
I'm a field service engineer for Ultrasound equipment at hospitals. And I also own and operate a website that ends up costing me more money than it takes in.
I am an SCSU electrical engineering student in his last semester. I also give planetarium shows to the public and operate astronomical equipment for research here on campus.
are you in the building right on 394 and Xenia/Park Pl? anyway i work as a software test engineer for cyberoptics
Sure am. You may have seen me driving around in my Legacy of Doom. The STI will be out shortly
Manufacturing engineer at the company that makes the tooling for the cans that holds all the beer you people drink.
God Bless you!:cheers2: Btw: I remove the asbestos fibers from buildings (you computer guys work at) to keep the fibers away from your lungs! Also Mold,Lead, and all the other stuff you don't want to touch....well, almost everything. Also do "odds and ends", a.k.a. Mr. Fix It.
Business Analyst for big insurance company. i hate my cube but dont mind the pay. i work on cars to keep me sane.
<----grandpa was a maytag man. I work for a company that makes control and calibrator products out of blood. We even make a fake poop product. mostly scientist and research people running around I pretty much print labels and sterilze supplies and in the morning I get to "collect" fresh blood.:yumyum:
I'm a parts guy at BP Subaru which pays the bills so I can go firefighting at night and support my now and then modification habit.
I didn't know about the planetarium thing... Now I want to go see one! A new event thread perhaps? We promise to behave.
I spent forever trying to find a picture of the "Tantalus V Observatory" plane-arium on southpark. But I can't. Oh well .. it was worth a try
I administer State and Federal programs that pay for home care services (home delivered meals, house keeping, lifeline, etc. ) to keep people over the age of 65 in their homes. That and oversee some nursing home residents. Mostly paper pushing but visiting Grandma's and Grandpa's can be fun. I get really frustrated with the cost of the bureacracy though. We now have 5 different ways of doing what we used to do one way and it takes 3x as long now! Your tax dollars at work (its' my money too, that's why I get frustrated). But it does keep me in Subaru upgrades and pays for my rally working adventures. I find that the correct application of boost wipes all that bureacracy right out of my mind.
Consulting engineer in Eden Priarie at RFA Minnesota Engineering... Currently working on project redesigning and designing HUGE dump truck frames for Caterpillar. Yes, the ones you have seen on the Discovery channel on the monster machines show. Sitting on a computer day in and day out gets old, but designing frames that weigh in 60,000 lbs and capable of carrying 400 tons is pretty cool to think about.
IT guy in the middle of getting my new business up and running. Occasional handyman (much saner work than IT, but the pay is lousy). If you see a WRX wagon zipping around with a load of 2x4s on the rack, and a 1m long whip antenna, that's probably me.
Server/System Administrator of a construction company. Famous for building most of the large buildings in the metro including all of the local sports arenas (soon the new Twins and Gopher stadiums!!!)
Ya, I wouldn't do anything else except Explosive Ordnance Disposal now. Although I wish I had done it for Navy instead of Air Force sometimes cause they are considered Special Forces in the Navy, where as in the Air Force we fall under Civil Engineers. You can do whatever you want then in the Navy.
while we're on the airforce topic, Ima hijack for a few seconds. I'm thinking of signing up on an AROTC program. I love electronics, (robotics specifically) and working with my hands. I have talked with a few people in the air force who *gasp* like it, and they have all mentioned joining as an officer would be a + pay wise, but that officers generally dont get to do the "fun stuff". Anyways, just looking forsome advice on joining the AF. I'll throw up a thread on this in a bit, just to see what people have to say.
I'm a manager at a Hotel downtown by St. Marys hospital. Also have my license to be a hair stylest. My boyfriend who is also spotted driven the rex owns a tattoo shop on Broadway here in Rochester!
