Funny - do we ALL work in call centers? wait let me rephrase do all of us that are stuck working work in a call center?
I have a phone at my desk, its not ringing though... It seemed like a Saturday or something driving in today. No one on 35 at all.
not a call center, but I sell service work, I have a computer and a phone, can't order from most of my vendors because they are closed, but I gotta "be here" for our customers. I wish I could run payroll, this is stagnant. I think there are 8 people left here and they are dropping like flies!!!
I just logged into work via the VPN. No emails, so I logged out. I guess I'm done working for the day, lol.
I bet it feels good, reminds me of "Harold and Kumar Got To White Castle" line being.... "No. I want that feeling. The feeling that comes over a man when he gets exactly what he desires. I need that feeling!" when refering to being able to sit and enjoy exactly what you had wanted.
I get the 21st through the 1st off this year, 12 days. It's nice, but it's actually mostly company-mandated vacation time, to force everyone to use up some of their banked vacation days.
I'm at work also. Yes, it's a support center but our phones are off. Basically it's me and my friend/colleague sitting here without any supervision jerking around. It's glorious.
so what suport or call centers are we all working at? I'll start, and you can feel free to name where you are stuck at... start with I'm stuck at..... St. Cloud Refrigeration.
Today at tomorrow are paid holidays for me. My 90 day is up today and I could not use my PTO till then and if I don't use it before the end of the year it is gone. so I wound up taking wed, and thur off too. Long story short, I get 12 days off... :laugh::laugh::laugh:
I'm not working but I am going to work so I can use the garage to wash/wax my car. So I might do a little work while I'm there.
Yeah, there are a ton of people at my work who are taking Wed. & Thurs. off this week. Since we also get next Mon & Tuesday off, there are a lot of people who will take next Wed. & Thurs. off also. Sometime I wonder how things get done around there, lol. Everyone gets 4 weeks of vacation in addition to the 10 or so paid holidays.
I have to work 4-8:30 tonight, slingin pizzas. I swear, if I don't get good tips of Christmas eve, I'm gonna be royally pissed.
haha im at comcast taking calls or rather waiting for my phone to ring. I get off at 5 then i get to spend the rest of the night with the family.
I work for Ameriprise Financial - until the end of the year. Then I get to kiss this terrible job goodbye, in favor of another terrible job
HOW IS IT SELLING DREAM MACHINES? I've thought about getting into auto sales, i it pretty steady work, won't die of boredom? Do you make good money?

So its my lunch break. The parking lots in opus are still awesome. I had a good go in them before i figured i probably should leave because opus has some decent traffic for Christmas eve day.
Streets were dead this morning--have been all day actually. I'm working till 5 :-( But I'm getting paid to edit my myspace and be on mnsubaru ;-) Merry X-mas guys!
Oh yea, went out for a snow-drift at lunch time-- waaaaay fun. Thank God they haven't plowed/salted these parts!
