I have some P-drive's on the way after giving up on the JDM STi springs. Just too much work and really, not a necessity. Daily driver and 'some' spirited driving. No auto-x or anything.

So I'm ordering p-drives for my bugeyes and wondering who can install these things, or help me. I'll pay of course. Payments of Money, beer, sex with my dog! Whatever. I just need some help and don't want to pay out my keester for a shop to do it.

Cool. You have access to a hoist don't you? I have some tools, I'm sure enough to do the job , but maybe not. I could swing by your place depending on how you would like to do it. Prolly ot for another week or 2. They haven't arrived yet.

I have a few hoist, strut compressor, and well the enough tools to get the job done. Evenings and weekends work the best... also that way I can give you the MNsubaru rate.

I did mine twice. You will need a car jack, a spring compressor, an impact wrench, a regular wrench and some metric sockets (either 17 or 19mm and 12mm). I thought I could do it without spring compressors and an impact wrench but I've concluded it is not possible. It takes about 2 hours. I recommend using a torque wrench too for the final install in the car.
I would be more than glad to help but I'm a bit far (UP Michigan). This spring I'm switching out from my stockers back to H&Rs on the same KYB AGX struts I run year round. Its a decent combo.

Sounds good. Nights and weekends work best for me also. Yeah, you have a few tools i don't. But I figured I could just rent the spring compressor but hey! I don't have to now!

I'd ask Bikerboy but he seems really busy lately. I think I have bugged him enough with miscellaneous questions! Plus, I get to meet more club members this way.

Thanks for the offer Powerlabs. ;)

I still haven't installed my prodrives... they are sitting in the garage waiting for "spring" (pun intended)

Give me half of that and i'd still feel overpaid =]

Mike can do the job the fastest if you can get to his shop as he has a wall mount compressor, chassis lift and air tools.

Some springs like eibachs can be a PITA with autozone clamp compressors, however RA springs were easy with clamp compressors and next to impossible w/ wall mounts, so your mileage my vary

but $600 for springs is really, really high.

I once saw a guy go into a shop (used to be in WBL, cant remember the name) and he brought in a set of coilovers to be instaled and they told him it would take a couple of days to do, and charged him $500 for the install.

I am kicking myself for not busting out a scissors jack in the parking lot and doing it for that much that day.
