SOA Fully Restores an '86 XT Turbo

I don't know about you, but I love the angular design aesthetic of the 80s.

 

Kind of reminds me of my old Fiat X1/9.

 

yep, it immediately caught my eye when that car showed up at SEMA. And shortly after that that photo album was made public. It's just awesome!

 

I remember there used to be a guy in Iowa that trailered one to MAC events occasionally. Has to have been about 7 years since I last saw him.

 

Yep. Last time I saw him was at Valley Fair, probably in 2008, but could have been 2007. He blew up his gearbox on his first run of the day, did his next two morning runs in my car, then went home. I think the MAC STS crew was too scary for him

 

As a previous owner of an 86 and 89 all I can say is wow! Love them.

 

my old neighbor had an old sub like that, dont know if it was turbo, I was maybe 11 at the time!
