Anyone know anything about sod? or know anyone who can get me a good deal on some. I live in the Andover area and need around 3000-3500 square feet worth.. not sure how to convert that into yards. Let me know thanks!
Josh I know how to lay down sod, my dad use to lay down sod a lot. If you can get the sod to your house I will lay it down for you.
I'm waiting for him to say that always hilarious "I'm Rick James, bitch" line because it is so timeless and funny. What an original idea. We as a community will have never ending laughs because of your incredible wit and humor. I wonder if you and that anusracer guy get together on weekends to drink wine coolers and fag out together?
Also, the guys that did my sprinklers had a decent deal with sod and installation of sod. Tell me you put in an auto sprinkling system....
I can tell you right now (even though I know you are joking) that a dog is NOT a good watering system for sod. My dog 'watered' the same patch of my brand new sod all last fall and through winter...we just recently had to scrape that dead sod off the ground and replant it with new grass after removing the acidity that a dog's pee creates.
^start laying down lime about 2 times a year in his fav spots to pee that will nuetralize the acidity that the pee creates. All in all its going to cost me about $500 for about 3850 sq ft. No i dont have an irigation system. I have an acre of land that i would have to install that into and that would be mucho bucks. I had a new septic system installed last year and this sod is going over that land that was dug up. I have well water so watering is not a problem i dont have to pay for water.
Installing a sprinkler system yourself isn't very difficult and it can save you alot. The place I got mine done through had an option where you could just buy all the bits from them that you need at their price and you install it yourself...they even help you get started and show you how it all works. It's a pretty sweet plan.
my dad might be able to get you a discount on it. He is going to check and see. I will let you know what he finds out. How many rolls do you need?
Theres a lot of sod farms up in East bethel on hwy 65.. you might want to call around and check.. last summer my dad bought some and if I not mistaking he said it was 1.75-2.00 a roll... let me get a price...
