Thats right, I received an offer for my car and now its gone. I think its time to put to rest this nightmare behind me. The fact that WMC is full of cow dong and more has really made things difficult with what I had initially had planed for the car. But in the end I somehow managed to get it close to where I wanted with lots of hardwork and patience. I'll miss the car as its the fastest car I've yet to build for a weekend track purpose.

So what's next? Part of the reason for selling the car is I a fortunate to have an opportunity to jump into almost any car at anyone of our events and drive it fast, so I figured lets move into what I've been wanting to do for a long time now.

So heres my conclusion after many years of harnessing my skills, from a amature level, I think drifting is the next tier for performance driving on tarmac. Beside's the art and the smell of rubber, car control is definately important. Yes, I saw Tokyo Drift and yes I got to meet Tanner Foust. I figure I have a great opportunity to really test my skills with the track opportunity I have. So I got my eye set on one that I found which has been built fairly extensive. Hopefully things will go my way and I'll end up with a purpose build 240 w/the bells and whistles.

So this chapter has ended an the start of another. I'm thinking about changing my screen name to Bunta, well maybe later if I can establish that type of reputation. LOL

I like the car alot, but the driver seat is butt ugly. Would have to replace it with a bucket seat. The difference between this one and the one I'm looking at is this one will be nicer for the street, where as the other one is built to be driven. I'll call these guys up and see. I welcome anymore you guys can find, I've been trying to check everything I can come across. I dont want to buy something that I have to put too much work into, as I'm a better driver than I am a mechanic. lol

And thanks for the post fondune!

Well I think its time I unveil what I've been looking at. I would appreciate some feedback, especially from those who use to drive these cars or drift before. So I'm no pro, and I'm not looking to spend to much crazy $$$; so I'll need all the help I can get to start out on the right foot.

    1. Starting with a car that is purpose built, looks secondary as functionality is my primary focus, but it would be nice to have both.

    2. Looking for a car for grip/drift events.

    3. Reliable/streetable.

So lets hear it and I'll start pasting some info below.

Built 97 240sx, SR, VOLKS, AEM EMS, GT35R
car is a 97 S14.. 151,xxx miles. it was originally a automatic base model but has since been converted to 5 speed, 5 lug swap, 180sx VLSD, 300zx brakes up front, SE side skirts and OEM front lip.. i have owned this for around 3 years now, and bought it completely stock.....car previously made 492 rwhp on a mustang dyno @ 19p.s.i (even though video says 18) and 93 octane, i have not dyno'd it since i put the motor back in... motor only has 900 miles on it, has brand new timing chain kit, gaskets, waterpump, and i have almost every single receipt for the car.. engine bay was freshly painted PPGred. i have over $24000 invested so i figured i price of $15,800o.b.o would be a good start.. shoot me a PM or e-mail if interested.. car weighed in at 2720 without me, but with 1/2 tank of gas, books and tools. let me know if interested i really need this car gone..

the bad: Radio trim is cracked. Rock chips on the windshield, hood, headlight, and front bumper. and a very very slight from front cover,

Turbo kit: www kit w/ .82 GT35R, stainless top mount manifold, Tial 44mm wastegate, Tial 50mm BOV, XSpower intercooler, custom I/C piping (polished) 3" downpipe etc etc..

The car was just recently dyno tuned at http://www.hybridynamics.com and made 400 whp and 305 ft/lbs of torque. This was tuned at 18psi on pump gas. The boost cooler injection was not used, and the tune was not pushed to the limit, due to the freshly rebuilt engine. I am certain that there is another 50 whp to be had out of this setup, but let me say that 400 whp is no joke!

2.5~rs I am looking for something with alittle more work done, I'm not looking to invest too much more $$$ after getting it. And I've hear the RB26 conversion in these cars make it less desirable for the circuit, but correct me if whats not correct.

well its an rb25 not and rb26. so its a single tubro. as far as work needed. i would say it needs paint. injectors and a tune and ur at around 400whp

right now im guessing it has 280whp on 12 psi.... i think thats what he was running.

Sorry for the typo. So how about suspension/handling? Thats one of the key elements I'm looking for.

The last one I posted is the one I'm hoping to get my hands on. As he stated all the suspension parts have been replaced with adjustable pieces and the only thing I can see missing is larger injectors and EM. But I'm interested in what others have to say about these cars.
