Some pics from my work today

We had a little party for the sponsors today. So I thought I would takes some new pics of the fresh body work.

 

For those who don't know (me), where do you work? It looks like the sort of job most of us may dream about.

I work at Leighton's Garage in EP. I wouldn't call it a dream job. I work on the other side of the shop where we do normal repair. I did the racing thing for a year and a half. You get really burnt out on racing after that though. Its a tough life racing. Nothing like working 7 days a week 10 hours a day and getting paid salary for 40 hors a week.

That is correct. GM and Banner are are main sponsors.

 

I will see if my boss is up for that. You just want the pictures for your self?

 

Got ya. The race shop is straight back from where the front counter is. Next time you drop something off I can run you back there to take a look at the cars.

I just like to photograph new subjects - I would give them full rights to the pictures

 

Alright well I will throw that by Leighton and let you know when it would be a good time to come down.

 

Very cool, racing is not glamorous for anyone, it is work 24 hours a day. There aren't many jobs that require that type of dedication.

 

Well, if it's working with something you love, it's a whole different story. You don't have to tell me about dedication to a 24 hour a day job, I was in the NAVY working on F-14 Tomcats.

 

The problem I had is I love racing and having my own toys. Well working on a race team put my toys on the vary bottom of the list. Hence the reason I have taken over three years to put my camaro together. I guess I would rather work on my own stuff then go off racing every weekend.

 

what ever happened to Leighton's vette? its been forever since i have been over there and listened to him and Courtney give eachother crap about GM v. Porsche. lol
