i was told mabe a overboost fuel cut
my rev limit is set at 7k so i know its not that
and it happens like right around 65k rpm or when i floor it,

First off, the '07 STI's behave to mods and tuning much differently then previous year WRX/STI's. You need to make 100% sure that your tuner is doing everything he/she can to protect your engine. There is a very good thread on nasioc regarding the '07 STI.

I'm going to be honest, I wouldn't trust anyone other then "Gabedude" to know how to safely tune your '07. Unless you have received knowledgeable answers regarding some of the basic changes to knock correction and fueling, you should be very skeptical. A breakdown of these specific changes are outlined here. Even Jorge has currently stopped tuning '07 STI's until all potential issues have been resolved.

I realize all of that was somewhat off-topic, but I feel the need to warn all '07 STI owners of potential engine busting hazards.

As for your overboost, it could be caused by many things. First, you need to pull the CEL.

Well OK, then it's not overboost/fuel cut. What exactly is the car doing, and at what RPM/gear/speed/throttle?

Does this mean that you are WOT and it stutters at 6.5K? Or are you up that high, then floor it, and it stutters?

There is a "throttle lift" section of the rev limiter on the '07 STI mapping, it removes throttle as you get near redline (unsure if any values are set on the stock mapping). Some tuners may set this to prevent shift knock (especially when users are power shifting/bouncing off the redline).

    ok this is what happends,
say ill be driving and in 2nd gear, i start to shift into 3rd at say 65k.
right when i shift into 3rd the car stutters and it feels like it wants to stop.
it deff felt like a fuel cut.
when iam up at 65k iam hiting 20psi.
idk if iam overboosting cause pdx wont get back to me.

but this just not seem healthy at all.everytime it happens the car seems to function
a lil less and it did before.

Yeah, thats probably his max PSI, not what he gets at redline. Still fairly high for a VF39.

Does this happen before or after you have shifted?

Honestly man, if you care about your engine at all, you need a real tune.

He has stopped doing '07 STI tunes, at least until the current problems are resolved.
