something is wrong

So i took my car out today just like any other day and it seems to die after like 5000 rpm and i mean DIE it drops boost and just doesnt have the power it should after 5000 does anybody know what this might be thanx

check your intercooler piping, sounds loose, didnt this happen to you pete?

Check the connections on and around the intercooler. Those hoses and connectors like to pop off. You may have to put clamps on a couple of them...if you go down to firestone this weekend I'll show you which ones on mine needed additional clamping. Also check the connection from the ic to the engine. Mine slid off just a little bit but the clamp was covering the part that was loose so you could barely tell it was leaking(visually). Also is it making any noise? Mine you could hear something was wrong....it sounded like i had a turbo on both sides of my engine bay when those were leaking.

 

I've been having a problem kinda like that, good power till 4000 then it drops off till 5000 then it comes back on again. any thoughts?

 

yeah u guys where right it was the intercooler hoses leaking she runs smooth again thanx for the advice and i will be unable to attend firestone this weekend
