    ...alright, so it's not that bad. Most of the time. We had our holiday party last night at the dealership, the theme was a casino night. I love to play Texas hold'em, but I'm still learning some of the nuances, one of them being folding isn't a sign of weakness. One of the others being that if someone bets big, sometimes they really are sitting on something good.


    Anyway, my first 10,000 got wiped out pretty quick by Peter (rabbit69) and his girlfriend. In 3 hands, actually. I walked away a bit stunned, usually I'm in for at least a little longer than that. One of my coworkers who didn't want their gambling money decided to give it to me. I figured I'd see if I could last a bit longer.

    My luck seemed to change at that point. It took a while, but I ended up cleaning them both out. Revenge is sweet (Sorry Peter, you know you're my favorite on the sales floor ;) ) The deal was after you cashed out, you'd get a ticket for each 1k you earned. You put your name on the tickets and there was a drawing for several door prizes. They gave away one Ipod Nano and a few Ipod Shuffles and a couple of jackets. I lucked out and got one of the Shuffles, which got traded in today towards a Nano. Jesus, these things are cool, I'd just kinda ignored them before.

    Anyway, that's my story. Now, off to figure this thing out...

    :lol: I assume you guys played cards because it was sooo cold outside. I only like gambling when it doesn't affect someone's life or lunch money. Otherwise, I'd love to join and throw a few cards down. ;)

    No money involved, just chips. I'm not good enough to risk real money. Now, if I'd have won the Powerball last night I'd think about dropping some coin just to play in the bigs after some schooling.

    Well heres my little Morrie's x-mas party story. Long story short, I'm a big fan of blackjack and we had the same Casino setup at our party. I spent 2 hours playing and ended up winning 65,000 in winnings, which do the math and thats 65 raffle tickets. Well my name was drawn atleast 4 times, atleast thats when Charlie Wagener (Morrie's son) stopped calling my name, I was only allowed to keep a 50 dollar gift cert. to Olive Garden. And I didn't get the really nice digital camera, 100 dollar gift cert to ridgedale, and a 50 dollar gift cert worth of gas. Wouldn't even let me trade up for the better prizes. So thats my wonderful Morrie's story, figures that people with money don't give a rats ass about the people without, oh well in the past, life goes on, Venting over, later all!

    It is all fun and games...We had casino night 3 yrs ago. We are planning on it for this year holiday party. I had a choice of 4 wolves tix (most expensive) and Hot air ballon ride. Both worth around $300. Anyways to make it short I ended up with Simons Visa Gift card of $50. Wife didn't like Basketball and afraid of heights. And I had the most Raffle too...

    Brian I went all in at the last hand cuz my girl was buggin for us to leave. Then she found out that we could have cashed out for more raffle tickets and got mad at me. Women! Other then that I would have had YOU!!!! haha lol

    LOL...sure you would've ;) . I noticed towards the end we were both playing much more conservatively, I figured you knew about the drawing and we were both just killing time. If you'd have gotten an 8 I'd have screamed bloody murder right there on the showfloor.

    And here I thought I was entertaining you guys with my ignorant questions when I came to pick up my wounded car late Saturday afternoon.

    Glad you like your IPod. I got a mini off a guy on the VolkSport forum this summer and love it. Have fun filling it up, it took me a long Saturday to get over 800 songs and 2 books on cd in to mine.

    I'm still thinking over the spt springs we talked about Saturday....
