Soo ive had my 06 sti for less than a month and....

It gets egged in my apt parking lot somewhere around 5:30-6:45 pm.

WTF, well i wash it off immediately and what do you know, the f*ing clear coat is ruined in 2 some what large spots where the eggs were throwing and hit directly. I mean wtf, either someone is really jelous or i pissed someone off in my complex. Although i dont tend to anger anyone and go out of my way for everyone in the building. Yikes. what a way to send me on my way to singapore for a week and a half.

Now i suppose the warrenty will not cover this since its a chemical more or less and not a fault in workmanship, but would it hurt if i tried?

thats sucks man sorry to hear. some people have no life and no respect for cars and how much time and money people put into them. my car was keyed and its not pritty, but what can ya do......

 

How large is your deductible...You surely have insurance?

My deducatable is 250, but i figure at this point if it happened once at my apartment building it can surely happen again, so i will be holding off on fixing it if i do till i leave my apt building, and probably just get a cf trunk, leave the bumper and get some rear spats.

its just not worth it to submit a claim for $1200.

Drifting 240- I was being completely sarcastic. No matter how mad I am at someone I could never ruin their car. My car is my life and I freak out when I get a new rock chip. I would never do anything to someone elses car that I wouldnt want them doing to mine.

Did the eggs take the clear off? If not, I would think a buffer and some compound would take care of it.


That really sucks. I bet they are kids in the 14-17 range. My sister's car got egged a bunch of times in high school. It got down into the cowl on her old civic, and eventually the car smelled like nuts.
