I'm picking up some silver RS 5 Spokes and was thinking of spraying them. My top choices are either Black, Gunmetal, or Anodized Red. I just found a pic of a white WRX wagon on Anodized Red wheels and I think I'm in love...what do you guys think? Just wanted something kinda "out" there ya know...or be boring and keep the silver (not a big fan of silver wheels on white cars)? Haha...thanks!

    These wheels...;)

Go for it. why not? I'm not sure about the anodized look I'd maybe just paint em. If you don't like the look the can always be refinished.

True, it's just paint...Dupicolor makes Anodized finish spraypaint, so who knows, maybe, we'll see...

I say go for it ~ I personally am a big fan of red! Besides it's your ride, don't worry about what other people think, do what you like and enjoy it. Just my 2 cents.

Make sure you make light, even coats of the color coat. That stuff runs like you wouldn't believe.

Now I'm wondering...they have the Ground Coat to give it the metallic look before you use the actual color you want. Should I primer the wheel first, then the Ground Coat, then the red?

I like it since it's a new look but I'd get tired of it pretty quickly.

Duplicolor flat sandable black primer, two medium coats
2 coats of the Ground Coat, one light, one medium. Possibly go 2 light one medium.
Then 3 light coats of the metal cast top coat. You might want a couple coats of clear too while you're at it.

Pre sand before the primer too with 400 grit. And make sure you wash them off after sanding with soapy water and rinse VERY well.

Ground coat is NOT a primer, Meng. Its just a metallic paint basecoat. I would go with a black primer like Mix said to give it a deeper look. TAKE YOUR TIME. +eleventy bazillion on that stuff running. A clear coat after a good long time of drying wouldn't be a bad idea, either. Oh, and I love the red, too.
