I'm not concerned about this swine flu much at all right now concidering what the seasonal flu does every year. Media is blowing this thing way out of the water and causing confusion. Eygpt is slaughtering there pigs, people are afraid to buy/eat pork products (a major industry in MN and IA) - total ignorance! I need to find that John Steward Daily Show video on the Swine Flu. /rant = back on topic... Very cute/funny picture!
The title of this thread made me think that it'd be related to the comments and thoughts that our 6th District Congressional Rep. - Michelle Bachman - said this week relating to the Swine Flu pandemic. It was a funny conspiracy theory she had, to say the least. Nevermind though, this isn't even remotely related. I'll go back to watching MSNBC now.
We really need to get a muzzle on her before she says anything else. When I heard what she said I facepalmed myself hard enough to see stars.

the thing about that statistic is that we have been vaccinating for the seasonal influenza strains and that many people still die. what do you think will happen if a strain (like the swine flu) that hasnt had any vaccinations dosed out yet do to the population. it could get really ugly. one thing i am really concerned about is what will happen when some kids show up in the fargo schools with this illness. they will shut the schools down that have cases at them and that means yet another week lost of school. that would be nearly 4 weeks of school lost in the last 2 months.
its easily treated...most US cases people have fully recovered from..there's nothing really to fear...they have treatments for it lol nvm im stupid tonight..you were just concerned for kids missing school well still NOTHING TO FEAR PEOPLE
no swine flu for me and we were in mexico the start of march... also, I think this thread should be deleted. poor judgment by a mod thinking it is funny that kids are dieing from this. That and it is not the kids fault, where are the parents that are supposed to be making sure the kid does not do stupid ****.
really Bill... even I found that funny and I have four of them... and I dont think that was the intention... sad that the kid died.. very sad regardless whether it was an illegal alien that had come up through illegal travels.. a human is a human, a kid is a kid.. but why is everyone panicking... the seasonal flu kills 10's of thousands every year.. this is nothing like that... It's ok people, I had the swine flu this morning but have gotten over it in the last few hours. Right now my antibodies and the flu are having fun in my colon....... Also, since I love you all so much and do not want to see you all die, I will be selling immunization pills made from my own feces! they are guaranteed to help boost your immune systems defense against the dreaded swine flu!!!!!! Seriously, i think the media has gone crazy on this one......
:lollol: Yup, I'm busted. I'm actually an evil person and truly wish everyone dead, especially children...even though I have two school age kids of my own I still think it's funny other kids are dying from this.... The picture and thread is a joke, take it's for what it is...a joke.
And here I thought I was the only one who wanted everyone dead. :laugh: I laughed when I saw the picture. I think it's sad that people are dying from this, but last I checked the world death rate is holding steady at 100%. If swine flu doesn't get you, I guarantee something else will. On a related note, on medicals we're conducting patient interviews from 10 feet away until we're able to determine if they're "flu-like" symptoms or not.

I don't have a link to the quote, but she made the statement that she thought it was an interesting coincidence that the last time the swine flu appeared there was also a Democrat in the White House. One small problem: Gerald Ford was the President during the last outbreak, not Jimmy Carter. Not to mention I'm not sure just what she was trying to say when she said it. I think she and Joe Biden are competing to see who can be a bigger ass when speaking in public.

Trust me, I'm not trying to turn this one political. I was just responding to what wrxpeed said about her. I saw her say it too and gave myself a facepalm of Chuck Norris proportions.
