My video sucks a little cause I didn't know I was getting filmed and didn't realize how close I needed to be to the camera. Also, my exhaust is quiet spoolems is much more aggressive sounding. From an undisclosed private location:
o'rly?? (it is in your "location") And it is also a primo location for some extended 2nd gear slaloming. :yumyum:
and make sure you know where all the curbs are in this deep snow :eek3: btw, looking for a driver's side trailing arm and rear lateral arm :hsugh:
^^ We were both taking advantage of the open lot for about an hour but only took these two videos. Im hoping next time someone will have a better camera that zooms unlike my camera phone...
I haven't really done any messing around with my LGT yet but I was wondering how you go about spinning tight donuts like that. Is it ebrake or regular brake or just the right amount of feathering on the throttle?
Just smash on the gas but stay away from red line! I tend to pump the gas from time to time so my engine isn't always reving real high.
Wheel really cranked (I like to go all the way, then back it off a hair) and lots of throttle. Subie's seem to like to do really tight donuts. spoolem's driver side front wheel wasn't even moving - at all. The rest of the car was basically spinning around it. That's gotta be hard on the PS pump. :hsugh: What's tougher is initiating some slide at higher speeds. I'm still working on getting the feel for when my front tires loose traction when I try to change the direction of the car to start a slide at like 25mph+. I tend to plow straight a lot still.
^^ lol Im going to emphasize the "Wheel really cranked (I like to go all the way, then back it off a hair)" because the first time I did a donut this year I cranked my steering wheel all the way and held it there and now I have no power steering under 1500rpm's. Lesson learned because it's not a cheap fix!
