Looks like an awesome game. EA is coming out with it for Iphone too. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8372603330420559198
yeah i heard its gonna be pretty good...i also heard that u can make them have gigantic testies. thats what a friend of mines told me (for the DS)..tell me how the game ends up playing.
Almost done loading it. Its 10 bucks for the Iphone and is like 50 for pc and mac. So we will see how i like it one the phone.
I heard much the same thing, not sure I want to shell out 50 bucks to find out. Plus, I read about EA's draconian DRM for the game. That's a turn-off.
I wasn't talking about how well it runs, I heard that it takes most people 6 hours to play through to civilization and the earlier parts of the game where you develop and evolve go by too quickly.
wow I just watched the trailer on youtube and it looks like one of those nerdy games I just might get used to and addicted way to easily
It's a neat game. I'm not tremendously interested in the Civ type games though. The concept is good though. I'm curious how addicting and varying the game play is though.
ugh! this would be a reason I would not buy it. I hate spending $50 on a game only to have it be extremely short. Although I bet the replay value is pretty good. You can download the creature creator of their website for free. Perhaps I will just play with that for a while.
If it took the developer guy to talk about the game for 40 minutes i bet the game is really long and the possibilities in expending in Spore is huge. I will have to wait till they come out with it for xbox cause i dont have a computer that will handle the graphics.
Like I said, people have already reached the Civilization stage on it in 6 hours play time. That isn't that long if you ask me. Half Life 2 took nearly 40 hours the first time I played through it, and that was at a few hours a session. So it took me a few weeks to finish.
wow, 6 hours. Thats really short. But another thing is that the Civilization part is the most interesting.
From the beginning Will Wright said that most of the time in Spore will be spent in the space stage of the game. I haven't played it yet, from the reviews it looks like it might be a bit disappointing.
it is super addicting but i got to the tribal stage in ~3hrs last night...each "evolutionary" stage gets longer though so i'd imagine it would end up being a decently long game. replay value should be great though
